Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I was successful in obtaining a not guilty verdict in a serious felony case involving false charges of abuse.
How did you build a successful practice?
I have been practicing law for 25 years and have a partnership with my wife, Julianne. We have earned reputations as a team of hard workers who work together solve very difficult problems for our clients. Ultimately we enjoy helping people and find it very satisfying to assist clients in successful resolutions of their often challenging situations and cases.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
A lawyer is an important helper who can make a difference. Clients should look for effective communication and zealous and effective advocacy at all times.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge and familiarity with the local courts and local attorneys is one of the most important aspects of success, which is why it is helpful that we have 50 years of combined experience in Northwestern Montana.

Depending upon the case, I can usually provide effective guidance on potential outcomes, timeframe, and cost.

The most rewarding aspect of my job is that I have developed a skill which can effectively make a difference in a client's life.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
In addition to law, I am interested in my family, my two dogs, fly fishing, and living the beautiful outdoor lifestyle that Montana provides.
Are you involved in your community?
I have been a big fan of sports programs in our community and particularly love hockey, baseball and tennis.
