Joe Mallon is the managing partner of the firm with over 25 years of successfully litigating personal injury and employment cases in federal and state courts throughout the region. During this time, he had distinguished himself as one of Maryland's leading trial attorneys. He has been lead counsel in more than 70 civil trials before juries and judges in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has achieved numerous large jury verdicts and settlements in state and federal courts in cases that are highly complex and often high profile. He is known for his thorough representation of clients, as evidenced by his remarkable courtroom victories. Described by The Baltimore Sun as advancing “precise legal arguments,” and by a federal judge as obtaining “extraordinary results,” Mr. Mallon has obtained many multi-million dollar results for his clients. The breadth of his practice includes cases of local and national importance. Based on his professional achievement, Mr. Mallon has been voted by his peers as a Super Lawyer in general civil litigation from 2009-2018. Mr. Mallon is a past leader of the J. Dudley Digges Inn of Court. He has frequently been invited to lecture at legal seminars for professional associations. Mike has many years of experience as a partner at one of the Upper Valley’s personal injury law firms and is passionate about helping injured persons get the compensation they deserve. Mike is uniquely caring and personally supportive of his clients while at the same time diligent, aggressive and knowledgeable in fighting the insurance companies in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. Marvin W. Masters has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University and a Law degree from West Virginia University. He is licensed and has presented cases to the West Virginia Supreme Court, most West Virginia circuit courts in the surrounding counties, and the United States Supreme Court, as well as the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia. He is experienced in litigating serious personal injury including wrongful death, property damage, commercial, fraud, and product liability cases. Mr. Masters' clients have been the beneficiaries of multi-million dollar successes which awarded him entry into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi- Million Dollar Advocated Forum, a prestigious group of trial lawyers in the United States. Membership is limited to attorneys who have won million and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Nicholas Clekis focuses his practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Workmens’ Compensation, Medical Malpractice, Litigation, Criminal Defense and Family Law. Founding partner, Nicholas J. Clekis received his B.S. from the College of Charleston in 1982 and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1985. After working with such firms as Morris, Duffy & Boone (formerly known as Hollings, Hawkins &Morris and now known as the McNair Law Firm, PA) and Grimball & Cabaniss, LLC, Mr. Clekis decided to set out on his own, concentrating on personal injury, criminal, and family law.

David Morowitz is an ex-criminal prosecutor who has worked for prosecutor’s offices in Manhattan, Miami, and RI. David drove a yellow taxi cab at night in Manhattan to put himself through college and law school. He then spent 12 years working with law enforcement. He worked in the Manhattan District Attorney’s office for District Attorney Robert Morgenthau, the Miami State Attorney’s Office for State Attorney Janet Reno, and the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office for Attorney Generals James E. O’Neil and Jeffrey Pine.

Alexander Laufer joined the firm in 1994. His practice is concentrated in civil litigation and real estate transactions, providing services in the areas of personal injury law, medical malpractice, construction law and employment law. Mr. Laufer grew up in Montreal, Canada but also lived and attended school in Jerusalem and Johannesburg, South Africa. He speaks four languages, English, French, Hungarian and Hebrew. Mr. Laufer graduated (cum laude) in 1972 from Loyola College and with High Honors from the University of Florida School of Law in 1976. Mr. Laufer has been an adjunct professor at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida and more recently at the Marymount University School of Business. He is a member of both the Virginia and Florida bars and is a Commissioner in Chancery in Fairfax County. Mr. Laufer has over 35 years of experience in complex litigation in both state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court and has handled thousands of residential and commercial real estate transactions. In recent years Mr. Laufer has litigated numerous cases involving noncompliance by residential builders with the federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act. In addition, Mr. Laufer has become a member of the Vaccine Injury Program Bar and the Federal Court of Claims Bar Association and is assisting families with members injured by vaccines, in obtaining compensation pursuant to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, a federal program whichimmunizes (pun intended) pharmaceutical companies from suit, but substitutes a fund as an alternative. This is a relatively obscure and poorly understood program which, however, represents the only real recourse for those suffering injury from vaccines listed on the Vaccine Injury Table.
