Jeff Todd has a broad range of legal experience and has practiced law in numerous jurisdictions and settings. Upon graduating from law school, he practiced reinsurance law at Chadbourne & Park in Washington, D.C. He subsequently relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and initially served as in-house counsel to Delta Air Lines, focusing primarily on marketing and mergers. In search of acquiring more courtroom experience, he joined a high volume workers' compensation firm in Decatur, Georgia, where he successfully represented hundreds of injured workers throughout Georgia. Jeff ultimately returned to Texas and was most recently associated with Greer, Herz & Adams of Galveston, where from 2003-2007, he practiced with some of the most highly skilled and regarded attorneys in Galveston County. Jeff started his own firm in 2018 to better serve his clients and has assembled a top notch team to achieve the best results for his clients. Given the broad success of his new firm, Jeff has expanded offices in Galveston and Austin to better serve clients throughout the state and country.

Joseph Perea, is a graduate of Florida International University and attended law school at Nova Southeastern University. He has been a member of the Florida bar since 2007. Joseph attended Miami-Dade public schools and grew up in Miami. Before college, Joseph served active duty in the infantry in the United States Marines for four years, receiving an honorable discharge. It was his experience in the Marines that taught him discipline and dedication. At FIU, he studied Journalism and Mass Communication for which he received a bachelor’s degree. Later, he worked in writing centers and taught English at Miami-Dade College and Barry University. A short time later he attended law school in Fort Lauderdale. He has turned his life experiences into a sense of commitment and dedication to passionately representing injury victims and their families. Joseph has litigated worker’s compensation as well as employment and wrongful termination litigation cases for the last 16 years. One of Joe’s specialties is representing work injury victims in circuit court, when they are wrongfully terminated or discriminated against by their employers for having filed a worker’s compensation claim. Moreover, Joseph has experience practicing commercial litigation, has practiced in Federal Court representing plaintiffs seeking to recover their overtime and minimum wage wages under the FLSA, and has represented personal injury plaintiffs. Joseph is proud that he has never represented an insurance company and is strictly dedicated to representing regular people who need help. Joe is fluent in Spanish and English and is proud of his Colombian heritage. He works hard to obtain justice for injury victims in both the Hispanic and non-Hispanic communities. He particularly enjoys working on denied cases whereby an injured worker is denied coverage while working on construction sites throughout Florida. He has obtained very good results in these kinds of cases and welcomes referrals. Although based in South Florida, he represents injured workers all over the State of Florida and is well-known among members of the workers’ compensation bar. Outside of work, Joe enjoys traveling and spending time with his family. He is married with three children and lives in Miami.

Burk Injury Lawyers was originally named “The Patriot Law Firm”. Although “The Patriot Law Firm” may sound political in nature, this is not the case. The name actually originated to respect the sacrifices of my Grandfathers and family members. We have many Patriots in my family. I am so proud of each and every one of them! My biological paternal grandfather, Vernon Dale Huddleston, gave his life for our country in World War II on July 4, 1942. His story is listed at the bottom of this page. He was the original Patriot. My adoptive paternal grandfather, Daniel Madison Burk, served honorably in the United States Navy in World War II and the Korean War. One of his ships was sunk, and somehow he managed to survive the wreckage My maternal grandfather, James Raymond Perrin, served in the United States Army and served in Europe during World War II. I was born in England during a time in which my father served abroad as a Civilian in the United States Air Force. After a few years overseas. My father then accepted a job at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. I was raised in a nearby suburb of Beavercreek. As a youngster, I participated in club soccer, track, basketball, and wrestling. My first job was working at a local McDonalds when I was 15 years old. I worked various jobs including grocery stores, delivering pizzas, and construction. After graduating from Beavercreek High School, I went on to earn two degrees from “THE” Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. After graduation, my passion for the Law took me to San Diego, California to attend law school. While attending Thomas Jefferson School of Law, I was elected Student-Body President. Despite going to a rather small law school, I was also elected as the National Vice-Chair for the American Bar Association – Law Student Division. This was a tremendous honor as this position was elected by the student body presidents of each law school all across the country. Finally, in my last year in law school, I was also appointed by the Dean to the prestigious Faculty-Selection Committees and the Diversity Committees. Preparing for my career as a litigator, I was selected for the law school’s Mock Trial (1st team) I competed in several regional and national mock trial competitions. I also gained valuable courtroom experience by interning for the San Diego Alternate Public Defender’s Office for my last two years in law school. I donate my time and efforts to local veterans and the Paralyzed Veterans of Nevada here in Las Vegas. Since 2004, I have tried numerous cases involving car crashes, slip and falls, construction defect housing, criminal matters, civil litigation, and medical professional licensing. I am currently a member of the State Bar of Nevada, State Bar of Arizona, State Bar of California, the Nevada Justice Association (formerly the Nevada Trial Lawyers Association), and the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association. I am admitted to practice law in Nevada, Arizona, and California. I passed all three state bar exams on the first try. I am also admitted to practice in Federal Courts in Nevada, Arizona, and California

I have had the privilege of being in private law practice in Maryland for the last 19 years. I was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Howard S. Chasanow, both on the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, as well as on the Maryland Court of Appeals. Since 1990, I have also enjoyed tutoring some of Maryland's finest and brightest attorneys for the Maryland Essay Exam; all whom have been successful. Corey Pollard is the managing partner of Jenkins Block & Associates‘ Richmond office and heads the Virginia Workers’ Compensation department of the firm. Mr. Pollard focuses his practice on representing individuals who have suffered injuries at work or through the fault of others, including car accident, motorcycle wreck, construction accident, medical malpractice and wrongful death cases. And when these personal injuries and other medical conditions lead to problems in the workplace or permanent health impairments, Mr. Pollard helps individuals obtain the monetary awards they deserve through state and federal employment law and Social Security Disability. Born and raised in Newport News, Virginia, Mr. Pollard grew up in a construction family. A graduate of Menchville High School, where he was a Virginia High School League (VHSL) State Champion in Swimming, Mr. Pollard earned his Bachelor’s Degree with honors from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. While in college, Mr. Pollard was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity. Mr. Pollard obtained his J.D. with honors from the University of Richmond School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Pollard was selected as a member of the Richmond Journal of Law and the Public and Interest. He was also selected as member of the school’s Client Counseling & Negotiation Board after winning the Environmental Negotiation Competition in 2007. Prior to joining Jenkins Block & Associates, Mr. Pollard worked as an insurance defense attorney where he gained valuable experience and training while representing many of the nation’s largest employers and insurance carriers. Now he uses that experience to represent individuals who sustained personal injuries and disability and to fight back against insurance companies and their tactics. Mr. Pollard’s wife, Leigh, is a Human Resources Manager who provides “real world” advice and insight on employment and labor law matters. The Pollards have two children, Knox and Rivers, who keep them busy and running around, and a 5-pound dog named Simba. They are members of Bon Air Baptist Church. In his spare time, Mr. Pollard enjoys spending time with his family, going to the beach, and playing pickup basketball and golf. When he is in the mood for punishment, he roots for his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins.

R.J. Suzuki is licensed to practice law in the State of Arizona and the United States District Court. Fluent in Spanish, Mr. Suzuki is a member of Los Abogados, the Arizona Hispanic Bar Association, and the State Bar of Arizona. He was a former Trustee on the Maricopa County Bar Foundation. Upon graduation from the University of Arizona College of Law, in 2000, Mr. Suzuki was selected to serve as law clerk to the Honorable Howard Fell of the Arizona Superior Court in Pima County, who was assigned to the court's criminal calendar. Mr. Suzuki next accepted appointment as prosecutor in the Office of the Maricopa County Attorneys Office. During the next three years, as Deputy Maricopa County Attorney, Mr. Suzuki investigated and litigated felony matters as part of the Major Crimes Gang and Repeat Offender Program Bureau. From the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Mr. Suzuki accepted a position as Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Arizona. In his nearly two years prosecuting federal crimes, Mr. Suzuki was responsible for the resolution of numerous federal felony and misdemeanor cases in Tucson and Phoenix. Mr. Suzuki primary focus is in criminal defense in City, State and Federal Courts. Mr. Suzuki provides aggressive and professional representation for his clients.

Arthur (Art) A. Garton handles all matters of complex criminal law, family law, personal injury and business/civil litigation. He is one of two Macomb County attorneys who completed the National Criminal Defense College Trial Practice Institute. He regularly attends the Defense of Drunk Driving Seminars sponsored by the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
