Maria Corvaia O’Donnell founded The People’s Law Team in 2014 after a long and very successful background in insurance defense litigation. She owned one of the largest female owned insurance defense firms in the State of Florida and represented Citizens Property Insurance Corporation, State Farm, Allstate/Castle Key, Universal Property, Esurance, Mercury, Travelers, as well as other major insurance carriers throughout her long career. Ms. O’Donnell is a highly experienced attorney in the insurance arena. She has also handled sensitive Special Investigation Unit (SIU) cases for major carriers to great success. Now she uses that invaluable knowledge and experience to help the people of the State of Florida get their residential and commercial property damage claims paid.

John M. Daly practices law in New York City as The Law Office of John M. Daly. Since 1995, John also has been “Of counsel” to The Fitzgerald Law Firms focusing primarily on medical malpractice litigation; appeals; dispositive motions; post-trial motions; infant compromise orders; trusts; annuities; lien resolution; and immigration. John graduated summa cum laude from Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska in 1984. John was Editor-in-Chief of the Creighton Law Review, author of a law review article, and a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society. John and his partner were winners of Creighton’s (annual, junior year) Appellate Moot Court Competition. John was the recipient of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys’ Roscoe Pound Award for Appellate Advocacy, as well as a member of Creighton’s Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Team. Following graduation, John served for three years as a Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, where served as a prosecutor and he was appointed a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of North Carolina, responsible for prosecuting crimes committed by civilians at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. John prosecuted felonies in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina. While serving in this capacity, John obtained a first degree murder conviction as lead prosecutor in a federal jury trial in the United States District Court in Raleigh, North Carolina. While serving as a Judge Advocate, John also tried 10 court-marshals to the military equivalent of a jury. Following his tenure as a Marine Judge Advocate, John came to New York and joined Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as a litigation associate where, for the next four years, he worked on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, attorney conflict of interest, and securities-related litigation matters. John then moved to Deutsche Klagsbrun & Blasband, a copyright litigation firm in Manhattan where he spent the next three years litigating intellectual property disputes in federal court before forming The Law Office of John M. Daly and his present “Of counsel” relationship with The Fitzgerald Law Firm. Before attending law school on a Marine Corps-sponsored program, John served for six years as a Marine Corps aviator, accumulating over 1300 hours as the pilot-in-command in the F-4 Phantom, a two-seat, supersonic jet fighter. John is a graduate of the U.S. Navy’s “Top Gun” Fighter Pilot Training School in Miramar, CA.

Founder and Injury Attorney of Maniscalco, Law, P.C. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and moved with his family to Lancaster, South Carolina in 1974. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, wherein he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science with a minor in Philosophy in 1985. In 1983, the University of South Carolina Political Science College awarded him the Ambassador Scholarship for his academic achievement in Political Science. As a recipient of the Ambassador Scholarship, he was selected to represent the University of South Carolina at the University of Kent at Canterbury, England during the academic year of 1983 through 1984 where he obtained an equivalent of magna cum laude ranking amongst his British counterparts. At the University of Kent, he received praise for his work ethic that resulted in the discovery of political ideas and arguments that brought out his "best combative mode," making him an "excellent value in seminars — a lesson to his British contemporaries whom he and ebulliently dominated." In 1984, he also received special recognition for his outstanding scholastic achievement at the University of South Carolina from Phi Alpha Theta, the International History Honor Society, and also from the Golden Key International Honor Society. He earned his Juris Doctorate at St. John's University School of Law in 1988. He began his legal career in Atlanta, Georgia in 1989 as an associate attorney representing personal injury plaintiffs, workers' compensation claimants, and plaintiffs against insurance companies for insurance policy breach of contract claims. In 1991, after the trial of an insurance policy breach of contract claim in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, he was offered a position as an associate attorney by the counsel for the opposing party at that trial. He eventually accepted that offer and became an associate attorney for that insurance defense law firm where he represented insurance companies in first-party insurance contract litigation and subrogation litigation for recovery of property and casualty losses. He became a member of the subrogation department at that law firm, where he represented the interest of insurance companies against product manufacturers, product distributors, contractors and subcontractors for property damage losses, which included national civil litigation in United States Federal Courts where he was admitted pro hac vitae in those jurisdictions. His subrogation litigation included claims against product manufacturers and distributors of defective and dangerous products and claims against general contractors and subcontractors for defective and dangerous construction. In 1993, he opened his law practice devoting his practice primarily to the representation of injured workers and personal injury victims. His experience in representing the interests of insurance companies has proven to be invaluable with respect to the representation of workers' compensation claimants and personal injury plaintiffs and has allowed him to broaden his practice to claims against building contractors for negligent construction and insurance companies for breach of insurance policy contracts. He witnessed firsthand the institutionalized policy of many insurance companies to delay, deny and underpay claims made by their own insureds. His experience in working for the "other side" has reaffirmed what he had believed since he made the decision to become a lawyer: that the interest of the rich and powerful must be met with tenacious and committed representation on behalf of the average American. Attorney Andrew C. Barr’s practice areas include personal injury, workers’ compensation, and product liability. Andrew graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and has been practicing law since 1989. He has represented persons in all courts including family court, circuit court, magistrates court, property damage arbitration, mediation, federal court, the SC Court of Appeals and the SC Supreme Court. Andrew has been practicing law since 1989, when he received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Andrew has a wife and four kids. He is an avid LSU fan and the entire family enjoys traveling to different sporting events. He and his wife enjoy traveling and spending time on the Florida coast. Andrew was an ardent golfer until his passions turned towards fishing and hunting.

I was born, raised and grew up in Orange County, getting married and raising three children within the local community. I graduated from the University of California at Irvine with a degree in history in 1994 and went to Chapman University Law School; graduating from this institution in their inaugural class. Since being admitted to the bar our firm has been practicing mostly bankruptcy law amassing thousands of cases discharged for our clients.
