My interest in practicing Law sprouted in my undergraduate studies. Though I was born and raised in the Dallas area, I received my Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University in Economics and Philosophy. I obtained my J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law. During law school, I not only met my law partner but also my life partner, Genevieve. We have been practicing law together since 2005, and we moved our law firm to South Texas to be closer family and friends. I enjoy problem solving, and with my 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney, I have learned how to apply this to my legal practice in a way that is beneficial to my clients. I help my clients navigate the tumultuous waters of divorce, child custody and property distribution issues. I excel at engaging courts in prosecuting personal injury claims, such as bodily injury due to car accidents, injury due to another's negligence, or breaches of contract or other business dealings. I am invested in getting the best results possible for all of my clients and assuring a satisfactory outcome for their cases.

David Sanford has recovered more than one billion dollars for individual clients and the United States government since 2004. Mr. Sanford has represented CEOs, CFOs, and COOs, as well as non-managerial, hourly employees throughout the United States. Aubrey Brown is a member of the firm’s litigation section, and was named a shareholder in 2018. His practice crosses multiple areas of law, consisting principally of: Family Law and Domestic Relations, including, divorces, spousal support and alimony, equitable distribution and division of property, pre-marital and pre-nuptial agreements, property settlement agreements, protective orders, and child custody, visitation, and child support matters. Residential Real Estate, including, purchases, sales, refinances, transfers, and real estate disputes. Personal Injury, including, automobile accidents, premises liability (“slip and fall”) and dog bites. Trust, Will and Estate Litigation. Aubrey is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Virginia, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia. Prior to joining Parker, Pollard, Wilton & Peaden, P.C., Aubrey was a judicial law clerk in the Circuit Court of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Kellie Budd received her law degree from George Mason University School of Law and is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia. Kellie represents individual and business clients on a wide variety of matters including employment issues, entity formation, contract drafting,and litigating business disputes in state and federal courts. Kellie is licensed to practice in Virginia and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. She is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association and is a former President of the Northern Virginia Black Attorney’s Association.

Football taught him a lot about life, and how to fight and win within the rules. However, due to many shoulder dislocations, he had to undergo surgery twice and abandon his dream to play in the NFL. As previously stated, right out of law school in the early 1990s, Mr. Smith gained valuable insights while participating in the prosecution of many cases in Texas (acting under the direction of licensed and highly skilled attorneys, who had been around the block many, many times). However, Mr. Smith was often uncomfortable asking the judge to punish people for things that Mr. Smith felt were often simple errors in judgment. He also quickly learned that many accusers were not honest, or that they had blown things way out of proportion. So, he decided he could do more good helping those who were accused of crimes. Then, he moved back to Utah and took the Utah bar exam instead of the Texas one, so he never became licensed in the Lone Star State. However, the several months of comprehensive prosecutorial and courtroom experience that he gained there served as the springboard for what he's been able to accomplish in Utah over the past two decades. After all, participating in moot court in law school is one thing, and being a part-time intern in another; but, being continuously exposed to real live cases, and all aspects of them - for many months - is a totally different thing. There is just no substitute for the real thing. While in Texas, Mr. Smith also spent a lot of time in the District Court, so he could learn from those who prosecuted felonies. One day, a veteran prosecutor gave Mr. Smith this advice: Divorce yourself from what the accuser alleges, and instead, look at the facts. Don't believe the first thing you hear, and I am telling you now that that is a very hard thing to do! Remember, the person who is accused is presumed innocent, and accusers get no presumption. It is better for 1,000 guilty men to go free than for one innocent person to go to jail. And don't ever go after a person just because that is what the police are telling you to do. Your job is to do justice, and you don't work for the police department. That advice changed Mr. Smith's life. Too often, an accuser is a bitter, or even hateful ex-lover, a disgruntled ex-coworker, or just a busybody that wants to make somebody's life utter hell. Mr. Smith understands that those you once trusted can prove that they were never worthy of your trust at all. When it is convenient, they can suddenly lie, tell half-truths, and can even fabricate evidence. He also understands that even if a person is guilty, there is MUCH MORE to that person than the criminal charges, and that the person needs to get on with his or her life. As a defense attorney, it is highly beneficial to know how cases proceed from the prosecutorial side, and Mr. Smith learned that while serving in his prosecutorial role in South Texas. This starts with understanding how "victims" are interviewed and perceived when they bring a complaint. Mr. Smith knows that the deck can get stacked against a defendant very quickly. Why? Derek is a native of Lancaster, South Carolina and a graduate of Lancaster High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 2007 from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina. While at Presbyterian, Derek was named to the Dean’s List, worked in the student center, and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity. Immediately following undergraduate school, Derek sought his Juris Doctor degree from Charlotte School of Law in Charlotte, North Carolina. While attending law school, Derek studied abroad at the St. Mary’s University Institute on World Legal Problems, where he studied under an international faculty, including United States Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. After completing his education, Derek decided that the best use of his legal education would be to serve his hometown area. He began his legal career at a small firm in Lancaster, where he represented clients on a broad range of matters, including domestic, civil, criminal, and probate issues. Derek joins the Schiller & Hamilton team to head the firm’s newly reopened Lancaster Office to continue serving his hometown. He will focus his practice on family law and probate matters, as well as personal injury and accidents. Derek is an avid outdoorsman when not practicing law, and enjoys hunting and fishing throughout the year. He was awarded the Eagle Scout rank in 2001 while a member of Troop 72 of the Boy Scouts of America in Lancaster. Derek currently serves as an Area Chairman of Ducks Unlimited, leading the Lancaster County Chapter’s committee of volunteers to raise money and awareness to preserve and protect wetland habitat. In 2013, Derek completed the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce’s “Leadership Lancaster” program, a course designed to educate potential community leaders about the history, needs, and goals of Lancaster County. Derek and his wife, Natalie, are active in their church and community and enjoy traveling and spending time with family and friends.

David Conway was born in Charleston, South Carolina and raised on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina, attending Porter-Gaud School and Bishop England High School. David received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, where he received Dean’s Honors. He also worked as a consultant on numerous highly litigious, high-value cases. David also worked with Corporate Counsel for the Law Department of the City of Chicago where he defended the City of Chicago against Section 1983 claims. David gained invaluable trial experience assisting a team of attorneys in a highly-publicized matter involving an Illinois State Senator. David’s team achieved a winning verdict.
