A seasoned attorney with a wide range of litigation experience, J.R. Stevenson works closely with his clients to develop the best strategies to address their legal concerns. His areas of expertise include commercial litigation, complex insurance coverage disputes, environmental and toxic tort litigation, property damage and first party damage, general liability insurance coverage, and maritime issues. J.R. has litigated a number of liability declaratory judgment cases through appeal. Before founding the firm in 2012, J.R. worked at leading multinational law firms Thacher Proffitt & Wood LLP and Clyde & Co US LLP. He is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. J.R. graduated cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law, where he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for earning the highest grade in his Evidence and Trust & Estates courses. He received a bachelor’s degree in economics with a concentration on international trade from Binghamton University. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Maritime Law Association of the United States.

Mr. Capetillo was born, raised, and still resides in Fort Bend County, Texas. He graduated from B.F. Terry High School as a fighting Terry Ranger Baseball Player. He continued his education and earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Houston while working part-time in Houston’s Oil & Gas industry in various tax related roles. After graduation, he accepted an offer from the world’s largest publicly traded international oil and gas company and worked in their tax department while attending night classes at South Texas College of Law. In his last semester at STCL, Mr. Capetillo secured an internship at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office in downtown Houston. His experience with the Public Defender’s office allowed him to gain hands-on experience defending individuals who had been accused of crimes while learning the importance of zealous legal representation through the criminal legal process.

Carol was born in Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Dallas and Mesquite. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southern Methodist University, attended the SMU summer program for English at University College, Oxford, England, and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Texas A&M School of Law. She has over 30 years of experience working in courts and international law firms in downtown Dallas. She now brings that big city experience to Historic Downtown Royse City for the convenience of the client, a more personal practice of law, and without the big city price. JOHN R. ROSS III was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1965. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1988. Upon graduation, John spent six years as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. In 1993, while still in the Navy and on shore duty, Mr. Ross entered law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, CA, and later graduated in 1996. While in the Navy, Mr. Ross served as an officer onboard two destroyers deployed to the Western Pacific and Persian Gulf. After successful completion of the two sea tours, Mr. Ross reported to shore duty at Fleet Combat Training Center Pacific (FCTCPac) in Point Loma, CA. Mr. Ross continues to live in the San Diego area with his wife, Celina Ross (née Romero), and their four children. Mr. Ross first began working with his father at Ross Patent Law Office as a law clerk in 1995 while still attending law school, and later became a partner. As a patent attorney with several years of experience, Mr. Ross has helped many clients obtain patent protection in a variety of practice areas, including many patents covering the electrical and mechanical areas of practice. In addition, Mr. Ross has successfully obtained trademark and servicemark protection for his clients. Mr. Ross is a member of the California State Bar, San Diego County and American Bar Associations, and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Eric Boehmer is an award winning attorney with the experience, confidence and knowledge to deal with the authorities when it comes to defending individuals against criminal charges. As a native of St. Charles County, Eric was born and raised in the Wentzville area. He attended St. Dominic High School in O’Fallon, MO. Eric was recently awarded a National Association of Distinguished Counsel Top 1% Award, a Top 100 Trial Attorney award for his achievements in Trial Law and a Top 10 Client Satisfaction Award for Criminal Law in Missouri. Eric attended college at Furman University in South Carolina where he obtained his bachelor degree in Business Administration. While a player on Furman’s baseball team, he was named to the all-conference tournament team and made the Dean’s list for academic excellence. At Furman, Eric also became a member of the largest international fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon. Upon graduation from Furman, Eric returned to the Show-Me State to attend law school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Eric gained experience with internships at two different law firms and worked at the Attorney General’s Office. Upon passing the Missouri Bar Exam, Eric returned to St. Charles County to become an assistant prosecuting attorney.
