Joseph Martineau is a practicing lawyer in the state of Arizona. Attorney Martineau received his J.D. from the Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School in 1976.

Gavin Elliot, the managing partner and principal, founded the practice in 2010. Kevin is a patent attorney who also provides services for trademarks, copyrights, licensing, and other IP matters. He counsels clients on the best ways to use IP assets to advance their business and protect against infringers. Kevin works in a broad range of technology areas, including mechanical devices, automotive tech, building/construction methods, electro-mechanical, computer/software arts, internet technologies, and innovations in manufacturing and business processes. He started his career as an Operations Engineer at a large St. Louis fruit and produce distributor, before entering law school at St. Louis University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Kevin is active in the St. Louis entrepreneur and startup community. His desire to work with entrepreneurs was spurred by his father, a former packaging engineer with patents himself, who now counsels businesses and startups in packaging technology, design and innovation. Coincidentally, Kevin’s wife is a marketing innovator at a Fortune 500 company, who grew up in a family of entrepreneurs as well. His two biggest passions outside of his IP work are time with his wife and daughter... and, of course, golf!

Founding Partner Christopher Guldjian is an aggressive advocate and trial attorney for those who have been injured due to the negligence and intentional acts of other individuals and companies. Mr. Guldjian was trained by clerking for the Los Angeles Superior Court in Long Beach and the Huntington Beach City Attorney’s office. His trial experience grew while working for major private firms and renowned plaintiff trial attorneys. He relishes the fact that justice can be served for his clients in a courtroom with impartial jurors having the final word. Mr. Guldjian has successfully brought several cases to verdict and has aggressively advocated major plaintiff settlements emulating in the millions of dollars. Recently, Chris was featured on the front page of the Orange County Register after suing a mental health facility related to his client being raped by another patient. Mr. Guldjian received his B.A. in Political Science and International Relations at California State University, Long Beach. He earned his J.D. from Whittier Law School. While in law school, he received an award in pretrial litigation and graduated top of his class. During the course of his career, Mr. Guldjian has achieved top ratings by Super Lawyer, Nolo, Best Lawyers, and Avvo. He has numerous articles published and presented topics throughout the nation. Prior to joining Hepworth & Murray in 2016, Tyler worked in the Office of General Counsel – International for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he worked on a variety of legal matters ranging from income tax issues, immigration, real estate transactions, and employment matters. Although he enjoyed the comforts of corporate life, Tyler’s real passion is advocacy, whether in the courtroom or the across the negotiation table. Tyler earned his law degree from the University of Oregon School of Law, where he received high marks in trial advocacy and was known around school for being a bit of trial junky. While in law school he worked in the public defender’s office as a court-certified law student where he represented three criminal defendants in jury trials before he even graduated. James Michael Sawyer hails from South Florida but has been a resident of Gainesville off and on since the 1970’s when he moved here to attend the University of Florida for his Bachelor’s Degree. Mike began a martial arts career as a teenager in Miami, which continued while he attended UF and went on to become one of the world’s foremost promoters and authorities on sport martial arts. He is the co-founder of many prestigious martial art associations including the North American Sport Karate Association (NASKA) and the International Sport Karate Association (ISKA), as well as an on-air expert analyst for ESPN and other sports channels.
