Philip M. Bluestein is the owner and founder of Rocky Mountain Law Firm. Our firm has two divisions; Rocky Mountain Healthcare Law and Rocky Mountain Wills and Trusts. Rocky Mountain Healthcare Law focuses on helping Physicians, Dentists, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals and Businesses build, maintain, and protect their careers and practices. Rocky Mountain Wills and Trusts focuses on helping business owners and families plan for the future and protect their assets with effective will and trust planning. Rocky Mountain Law Firm works with doctors and other healthcare professionals and businesses throughout Colorado as well as clients outside of Colorado. This includes helping healthcare professionals with their professional employment contracts, starting, maintaining, buying or selling practices, regulatory matters, licensing and professional board matters, asset protection and estate planning, and helping doctors with the opportunities and challenges they face in their careers so that they can focus on taking care of patients. We also work with a variety of clients to address their estate planning needs. This includes basic Wills, Powers of Attorney, Healthcare Directives, Guardian Designations, and other documents, to Revocable Trusts (also referred to as Living Trusts), to more complex trust planning and Asset Protection trusts and strategies. Philip founded Rocky Mountain Law Firm (formerly the Bluestein Law Firm) in 1995 while living in Ohio. In 2000 he and his family relocated to Colorado. Upon graduating from law school, Philip practiced for a year and a half in one of the oldest firms in Cincinnati, Ohio that focused on estate planning, litigation and real estate. He started his own firm in 1995 focusing on Civil and Criminal Litigation, Business Law, and Estate Planning. While in Cincinnati, his now ex-wife was a surgeon still in training. Over time Philip found that many medical professionals that he or his then wife knew began asking him questions related to contracts, careers, and practices. He realized there was a definite need he could address and developed his practice to help healthcare professionals. When his then wife completed her training, they moved to Colorado where he helped her set up and run her medical and surgical practice, as well as restarting his law practice with a focus on healthcare professionals and practices. Philip grew up in the Midwest. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government with a minor in History from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, he obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. From 1995 to 2003 he served as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the US Army Reserves, where he assisted soldiers with estate planning and other assistance to meet their requirements prior to being deployed. He also represented soldiers in military separation boards and served as the Claims Officer for the 9th LSO, 88th RSC. He completed eight years of service rising to the rank of Captain. Philip is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Boulder County Bar Association, where he served as the co-chair of the Business Law Section for two years. He is licensed in Colorado and Ohio. At the office, Philip is always glad to introduce clients to our golden retrievers Sadie and Zev, the office dogs. He is remarried and has two sons in college, Solomon and Isaac, and loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys cycling, skiing, camping, and hiking.

Jacqueline Ferris MacLaren serves Columbus and the central Ohio residents with estate planning, estate and probate administration, wills and trusts, equine law, small business law, and real estate property law. Jacqueline began her legal career at the Franklin County Municipal Court as a law clerk. At the Franklin County Municipal Court, Jacqueline worked closely with the magistrates and judges while researching and drafting opinions on legal issues before the court. Jacqueline enjoys working with families and educating individuals on the estate planning process. Jacqueline’s personal time is spent with her family and horses. Jacqueline was born and raised with Arabian horses and continues to actively participate on the local, regional and national levels with the Arabian Horse Association and the National Show Horse Registry. Jacqueline’s career highlight to-date came in 2009, when she and her Half-Arabian gelding, Great Days of Honor, went U.S. Arabian and Half-Arabian National Champion in Half-Arabian Hunter Pleasure Maturity Horse. In addition to showing, Jacqueline and her family continue to breed and raise Arabian and Half-Arabian horses in Johnstown, Ohio. A native of Cleveland , John C. Cox has been practicing law in his hometown since 1999. John began work as an associate for his late father and cousin at that time, and became a Member in 2007 before becoming the firm’sManaging Member in 2011. Carl D'Angio graduated from New England School of Law in 1989 near the top of his class concentrating his studies in the areas of real estate and asset management. After passing the bar he spent 3 years in Washington, D.C. with Ross, Dixon, and Masback, one of the Capital’s preeminent insurance defense firms. He worked on multimillion-dollar cases including Columbia Casualty v. Playtex. Since then he has practiced in Waltham, Massachusetts in a varied civil practice. His uncle, Louis D'Angio, practiced law in Waltham for more than fifty years. The family has had roots in Waltham for more than a century. Carl D'Angio has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts before both judges and juries. He has reached success in personal discrimination and employment cases, automobile accidents, product, and premises liability, construction disputes, consumer protection matters, residential and commercial landlord/tenants disputes, adverse possession litigation, and various other real estate disputes and business litigation. Scott was born and raised in New York. He received his undergraduate degree from Binghamton University in upstate New York. He them attended and received his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 2001. His career began shortly thereafter working as an associate attorney at a mid-size firm named Wingate, Kearney and Cullen concentrating mainly on real property, title and banking law. Scott then relocated to Southwest Florida in 2006 and went to work as an associate with Burkard Law Firm in Fort Myers. At Burkard he expanded his practice areas to include family, probate, wills, contracts and business law. In 2009, Scott opened Faden Law Firm where he ran a general civil litigation firm practicing in all of those areas. Finally, in February of this year, Scott partnered up with Barbara Cossu and created Faden & Cossu, PA, where they will continue to represent your needs in the legal areas of: family law, real estate, probate wills and estate planning, business, contracts and civil litigation.
