Gregory Paul Oliveros was born and raised in the Portland area. After graduating from the Oregon College of Education in 1973, he taught in the Portland Public Schools. In 1981, he left the classroom to become an administrator with the School District. He was a specialist in the Staff Development Community Relations Office and was later an assistant to the principal of Humboldt Elementary School. Mr. Oliveros earned 2 Masters degrees in Education from Portland State University in 1981 and 1982, then went on to attend law school and graduated in 1990 at age 40.In the early part of his career, Mr. Oliveros had a sole practice. In 1996, Michael D. O'Brien was an associate to his former firm, and became his partner in 2000, now known as Oliveros & O'Brien, P.C.Mr. Oliveros has three daughters and three granddaughters. Mr. Oliveros and his wife, Gina enjoys taking short trips with his time away from the office. Mr. Oliveros is active in his church, Christ the King, and on occasion, enjoys playing a friendly game of poker.In addition to Mr. Oliveros' criminal practice, he works in the domestic relations area. Daniel Schlanger is a partner at Kakalec & Schlanger, LLP, where he heads the firm's consumer practice. He received his undergraduate degree from Carleton College, magna cum laude, in 1994.

Mr. Cooper has lectured extensively on real estate taxes, state and local taxes, and federal income taxes at the graduate school level at the University of Southern California, the University of California at Irvine and Golden Gate University. Additionally, Mr. Cooper has participated as an instructor in the continuing professional education program for the California Certified Public Accountants Education Foundation and has lectured for various professional groups. Mr. Cooper is admitted to practice law in the State of California, before the United States District Court (Southern & Central Districts), United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. As an undergraduate, Mr. Cooper attended California State University at Los Angeles and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting. He received his Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California. During the Vietnam War, Mr. Cooper served as a military policeman in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii and Thailand. He was honorably discharged and attended college on the GI Bill.

Jenifer Placzek was born and raised in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1997 with a degree in journalism. In 2001, she graduated from Boston College Law School. She practiced at a large law firm in Los Angeles after graduating from law school. In 2005, she moved back to Springfield to practice law with her father and partner, Mathew W. Placzek.
