Garrett J. TenHave-Chapman is the founding attorney for Solomon Law Firm PLLC. He is a litigator with over twenty-five years of experience. Garrett focuses on Social Security Disability, Workers' Compensation, Personal Bankruptcy and Child Custody, Immigration and Motor Vehicle Law. He also is experienced in appellate law, veterans' benefits, landlord-tenant, criminal law, insurance defense, entertainment law, environmental due diligence, and general litigation. Garrett has advocated for both plaintiffs and defendants. Although he now concentrates his practice on helping clients with social security, workers' compensation, personal bankruptcy, child custody, immigration, and motor vehicle issues, he knows how to weigh both sides of an issue. He prosecutes cases for plaintiffs but also has defended businesses. He is able to help his clients on either side of an issue understand their opponent, and therefore be prepared for what may happen next in a case. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Hope College, a Master of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary, and a law degree from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Garrett is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, its Social Security and Worker's Compensation sections, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and both the Western and Eastern Michigan Districts of the United States District Court. He also is an accredited attorney with the Department of Veterans Affairs. Garrett is a sustaining member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR) and a member of the Michigan Association for Justice. Garrett enjoys the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, softball, movies, singing, and running. He is a member of both the First Congregational Church of Rockford and Tachanuwnah International Ministries. Ben Hall has dedicated his life to serviceโfirst to his country, then to his community, and now to his clients. He served five years in the United States Marine Corps, including a combat tour in Iraq. Remarkably, while working full-time as a police officer, Ben pursued his law degree, distinguishing himself through internships with the Michigan House of Representatives, the Governorโs Office, a state circuit court judge, and two federal judges on the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. After graduating cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law in 2019, Ben joined the Ingham County Prosecutorโs Office. There, he prosecuted cases ranging from misdemeanors to multimillion-dollar fraud and complex criminal sexual conduct matters. This experience sharpened his ability to analyze cases from the inside and identify weaknesses in the stateโs arguments. When Ben entered private practice, he immediately put this background to work for his clients. By leveraging his unique perspective as both a former prosecutor and nearly a decade as a police officer, he has secured favorable resultsโincluding multiple dismissalsโfor clients who once faced years of incarceration or lifelong criminal records. His reputation for exposing flaws in the prosecutionโs case has allowed many clients to leave court with their freedom intact. Benโs story has reached beyond the courtroom. He has been featured in both local and national media for his insight into Michiganโs child protective services policies and for his reflections as a veteran on 9/11. His extraordinary act of compassion as a police officer toward a struggling young mother brought him national attention, with appearances on The Real, Fox and Friends, CNN, NBC Nightly News, HLN, and more. In recognition of his impact, he was named one of CNNโs Extraordinary People of 2014. Outside the courtroom, Ben is deeply committed to his family and community. He volunteers as a coach for his sonโs football team and actively supports programs such as 4H, youth sports, and Odyssey of the Mind. He also officiates high school and college football and basketball, and in his โspare timeโ is training toward his private pilotโs license. Ben holds a bachelorโs degree from Park University (2007), a masterโs degree from Central Michigan University (2015), and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law (2019). He is admitted to practice law in all courts in the State of Michigan and the eastern and western federal district courts.
