About Simon
Originally from San Francisco, California, Simon moved to Charlotte to pursue his law degree. He fell in love with the city, and so decided to stay and practice law. After graduating and obtaining licensure with the North Carolina Bar Association, he participated in a fellowship with a prominent criminal defense firm in uptown Charlotte. During his time there, he gained essential skills, which would help him become one of the top criminal defense attorneys in the state. In May of 2015, Simon opened Massie Law, PLLC and began pursuing his passion of helping people who had been charged with crimes. Each week, he zealously argues in district and superior court on behalf of his clients who have been charged with a range of crimes, including traffic offenses, misdemeanors, and felonies. Simon's passion for helping people does not stop in State court, as he also represents clients on a range of issues in Federal criminal court. As a result of his passion, determination and expertise, Simon was recently named one of the Top Ten Under 40 criminal defense attorneys in the state of North Carolina.
In his spare time, Simon pursues his other passions, which include a passion for helping animals and children. He has previously volunteered with the Guardian Ad Litem program here in Charlotte, and volunteers with local animal rescues by fostering dogs and distributing resources such as straw and food to rural communities around Charlotte who have outside pets.
