Stanley A. Beiley, born New York City, New York, March 23, 1936. Admitted to bar, 1961, Florida; 1962, New York; also admitted to U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits and the Supreme Court of the United States. Education: Dartmouth College (A.B. in Business Administration, 1958); Columbia University Law School (J.D., 1961). Member of Phi Delta Phi and Kent Court. Member of The Florida Bar, New York Bar, and The Spellman Hoeveler Inns of Court.
Mr. Beiley specializes in complex business and commercial litigation. Mr. Beiley has appeared in oral argument before the United States Supreme Court in which he successfully briefed and argued an important civil forfeiture case involving the duties of banks in making mortgage loans secured by real property which was acquired with the proceeds of illegal activities. Mr. Beiley has tried a variety of cases, jury and non-jury, including securities cases, stockholder's derivative suits, civil forfeiture cases, class actions, lender liability and real estate disputes. Mr. Beiley also serves as an arbitrator for the AAA and has participated, as an arbitrator, in over 100 commercial, business and international disputes.
