About Stefan
Stefan's primary areas of practice include securities litigation and arbitration, and civil litigation. As a former stock-broker, his first-hand knowledge and experience in the financial services industry have proved invaluable in representing investors who have been the victims of securities fraud and/or misconduct by broker-dealers and their employees.
Stefan attended law school at the University of Miami School of Law, where he graduated Cum Laude in 2004. While at the University of Miami he received Dean's List honors and was named the 2003 Association of Legal Administrators Scholar. After completing the University of Miami's nationally acclaimed Litigation Skills Program, Stefan volunteered as a Certified Legal Intern at the Broward County Office of the Public Defender. As a second year law student, interning with the Public Defender's Office, Stefan successfully tried two (2) criminal jury trials, both of which resulted in verdicts of not guilty on all counts. During his third and final year of law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the International & Comparative Law Review, and was awarded the 2004 Dean's Certificate of Achievement Award in Bankruptcy. As a third-year law student, he also worked part-time as a law clerk at the firm of Burger, Trailor, Duncan & Cohen.
Stefan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University in 2000, where he earned Phi Alha Theta honors for his course-work in American History.
In 2007, Stefan tried his first securities arbitration case (FINRA Case No.: 06-02323) which resulted in an award of more than $97,000.00 in damages against Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. d/b/a Smith Barney, for failure to supervise. A native Bostonian and avid Red Sox fan, Stefan currently resides in Miami Beach, Florida.
