About Stephanni
Stephanni Marie Hemmi was born in Oceanside, California. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, and earned her law degree from California Western School of Law. In addition, Stephanni earned her LL.M in Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Stephanni began her substantive tax career with the U.S. Tax Court, where she served as the attorney-advisor to Special Trial Judge John J. Pajak. While at the Court, Stephanni was responsible for drafting judicial opinions in civil tax controversies. She also conducted extensive research on a wide variety of domestic and international tax and business issues while practicing with law firms in Washington DC and Hawaii. She became further involved with tax law in San Diego, where she instructed a continuing education program for tax preparers on the subject of the foreign earned income exclusion and the foreign tax credit.
Stephanni is admitted to practice law in California, Washington DC, and Hawaii. In addition, she is admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Stephanni joined Schiller Law Group in May 2007. Her practice areas include estate planning, trust administration, real estate, and entity formation.
