Mr. DeCillis helped prosecute 11 yr old twins who murdered their father and shot their mother and sister. He was the 2nd chair prosecutor in the case that was the catalyst to change the juvenile laws at that time. This incident made national headlines.
Successfully Defended Man on "Americas Most Wanted"
Mr DeCillis successfully defended Mr. Demello in a high profile, first degree murder case that was featured on “America’s Most Wanted”. There was an eyewitness who claimed that Mr. Demello murdered his roommate. In spite of the hostile environment, Mr. DeCillis was able to convince 10 out of 12 jurors that Mr. Demello was not guilty. The case ended in mistrial and Mr. Demello chose to resolve the matter by pleading no contest to involuntary manslaughter.

Helped a mom prevent an abusive ex husband from gaining a favorable custody of their 2 daughters. Lengthy bench trial that took place over several weeks, contempt motions, etc. Eventually the ex husband gave up the fight and mom’s current husband adopted the children.

Helped a dad gain a favorable custody verdict after a lengthy bench trial that lasted over several months and fighting against parental alienation by the mother.
