Catherine “Catie” Meehan is a partner at the Steinberg Law Firm. She has an extensive background in the medical field with degrees in both psychology and nursing, in addition to her law degree. Catie’s nursing background comes into play daily as she represents individuals who have been injured at work or in their lives. Her experience as a licensed registered nurse (RN) at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) gives her an understanding of her clients’ medical issues, injuries, treatment, and healing that many attorneys do not have. As a nurse, she developed the empathy to understand what her clients are experiencing. Clients also appreciate Catie’s open and honest communication and her ability to set realistic outcomes. She also served as Student Works Editor of the Charleston Law Review. Catie has authored published articles for Charleston Law Review that explored human tissue property rights. Her other study covered NFL concussion litigation with a proposal to create a victim relief fund to compensate former NFL players with football-related neurological injuries. In addition to her law practice, Catie is involved in her community and professional organizations. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Kids’ Chance of South Carolina. This organization provides scholarships and support for college and vocational education to dependents of South Carolina workers catastrophically or fatally injured in work-related accidents. She also serves on the Alumni Board of the Charleston School of Law and the MUSC College of Nursing Board — the latter service keeps her knowledge of nursing trends current, which often aids her in helping her clients. She is a member of Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, Junior League of Charleston, South Carolina Bar Association, and the bar association’s Young Lawyers Division. Catie and her husband, Jerry, live in Charleston with their two daughters.

Steven E. Goldberg followed his father into a career of law by joining the Steinberg Law Firm in 1993. As he explains, “Growing up, I was impressed to see my father working hard and his clients being truly thankful for that hard work.” Now in practice for more than 25 years, Steven has represented clients in cases involving on-the-job injuries and automobile wrecks, and has expanded his practice representing families of those who have had loved ones injured or killed in nursing home neglect. He has been successful in many trial appearances and settlements totaling over several million dollars; most recently, he represented a family whose elderly father died because of a truck driver’s negligence in a case that settled for $3.5 million. The father was rear-ended, and Steven fought the insurance company over the settlement amount when the company tried to use the fact that the driver was 75 years old to say his family shouldn’t receive such a large settlement. Steven maintains his office in Summerville, and practices law at both the firm’s Broad Street and Goose Creek locations. He is active in the legal community, having served as president of the South Carolina Injured Workers’ Advocates and chairperson of the South Carolina Bar Workers’ Compensation Section. He has served on the board of Governors for the Association for Justice (Trial Lawyers), and has argued Workers’ Compensation cases before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and the South Carolina Supreme Court. Active in his community, Steven is a member of KKBE and has served as president of the East Cooper Jewish Community; chair of Operation Home, an organization devoted to making homes safer for lower-income residents; and chair of the Grantmaking and Leadership Committee of the Coastal Community Foundation. Steven earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

David Conway was born in Charleston, South Carolina and raised on Sullivan’s Island, South Carolina, attending Porter-Gaud School and Bishop England High School. David received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio, where he received Dean’s Honors. While at Case Western, David was a leader in the school’s renowned Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic, providing aid to indigent clients. While acting in that capacity, David successfully arbitrated his client’s predatory lending claim. Prior to founding Miller|Conway, David worked as an attorney for a Chicago, Illinois-based boutique trial law firm, which was retained by some of the largest law firms in the world to litigate multi-million dollar disputes between Fortune 500 companies. He also worked as a consultant on numerous highly litigious, high-value cases. David also worked with Corporate Counsel for the Law Department of the City of Chicago where he defended the City of Chicago against Section 1983 claims. David gained invaluable trial experience assisting a team of attorneys in a highly-publicized matter involving an Illinois State Senator. David’s team achieved a winning verdict. David’s experience ranges from personal injury, contract disputes, and securities/antitrust actions to various intellectual property matters and estate planning. Additionally, Goose Creek personal injury attorney David P. Michael J. Jordan has dedicated his career to ensuring his clients will make the recovery they deserve. Creston earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he graduated in the top 3% of his class. In law school, Creston proudly served as Editor-in-Chief of the South Carolina Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Coif, Order of the Wig and Robe, and the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. He also served as an elected member of the Honor Council for all three years of law school. Creston was the recipient of the Richard J. Foster Scholarship (awarded to the first-year student with the highest grade point average in his or her first semester in law school), Coleman Karesh Scholarship (awarded to the second-year student with the highest cumulative grade point average at the time of the award), and the Claude N. Sapp Award and Scholarship (presented to the third-year student who is chosen by his or her classmates as possessing the best combination of scholarship, leadership, and industry).

Trevor grew up in farm country on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where he spent his youth sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. Trevor is a 2007 graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park, where he graduated with a degree in engineering. While in college, Trevor was the captain of the UMD sailing team as well as a delegate to the Inter-collegiate Sailing Association. After his tenure at the University of Maryland, Trevor attended law school at the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he participated in mock trials as well as the intellectual property law society. In 2010, Trevor graduated from law school and met and married his delightful wife, Crystal, and decided to make South Carolina his new home. Trevor began his legal career at Nexsen Pruet, LLC, one of the largest litigation law firms in South Carolina. While at Nexsen Pruet, Trevor worked on a variety of hospital, pharmaceutical, state/federal government compliance, and intellectual property lawsuits. Trevor has spent the last 10 years working on civil litigation matters of nearly all variety from premises liability and medical malpractice to products liability and real estate litigation. Trevor is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Maryland, and The United States District Court of South Carolina. He is a member of the Richland County Bar Association and the South Carolina Bar Technology Committee. Out of the office, Trevor is an avid chef and sailor, passions he shares with his wife, Crystal.

Attorney Jason Reynolds has a passion for helping people. A native of Columbia, Charnell has spent his life around the Pontiac area of South Carolina. He earned both his Bachelor’s degree and his Juris Doctor law degree from the University of South Carolina. For over 30 years, Charnell has been representing personal injury victims in Columbia and surrounding communities. Charnell is admitted to practice in all South Carolina state courts as well as the United States District Court for South Carolina and the United States Supreme Court. His personal injury practice includes representation of others in car and truck accidents, nursing home abuse, wrongful death, train accidents, and more. Born in Columbia in 1955, Charnell is the son of Octavia Jacobs Peake and the late Collie Peake, Jr. He has been married to Cindy Davis Peake since 1979, and they have two children, Josh and Amanda. Josh Peake is married to Jennifer Bessinger Peake, and they have two children, Cameran Nicole and Caley Anne. Amanda Peake Glover is married to Benji Walker Glover, and they have three children, Hope Micah, Reagan Faith, and Caroline Brooke. Charnell attended Richland School District 2 schools, as did his wife and children, all of whom are graduates of Spring Valley High School. Charnell and Cindy continue to be active in the community while also staying involved in various mission projects with local to global outreach. He enjoys playing golf in his spare time and is an avid Gamecock football fan.
