About Todd
Todd Ward has always wanted to defend the unjustly accused. Todd's plan was to be a prosecutor for ten years and master the intricacies of the criminal justice system so that he could successfully represent his future clients. During Todd's experience as an assistant district attorney, Todd sharpened his trial skills by prosecuting everything from speeding tickets to capital murders. This invaluable experience gives Todd special insight into how a prosecutor will approach a criminal case, and it also allows him to stay one step ahead of the State.
After prosecuting for seven years, Todd left the Travis County District Attorney's Office to work in Houston for Dick DeGuerin. Although Todd fell short of his ten year prosecution plan, he readily jumped ship to work with Dick DeGuerin. Todd has had the opportunity and privilege to successfully defend his clients from such accusations as murder, aggravated sexual assault, drug conspiracy, compelling prostitution, and intoxication offenses. Todd's success is attributed to his experience as a former prosecutor and as a member of a Harris County grand jury, his thorough investigation of every case, his meticulous preparation for trial, his creativity, and his willingness to always go the extra mile for his clients.
