About Torben
As a member of the firm's Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups, Mr. Welch's practice focuses on advising corporate clients, mortgage lenders, real estate professionals and professional athletes with their legal needs. Duties include asset acquisitions, contract and lease negotiation, document review and analysis, development and growth strategies, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, workout and recovery strategy, etc. Mr. Welch also serves as outside general counsel to clients providing risk management and assessment, asset management/leasing, litigation prevention, management of outside counsel on litigation and related matters, etc.
In addition, Mr. Welch represents a variety of creditors in bankruptcy matters, including handling Chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings, proof of claim submissions, Chapter 11 and 13 plan review and objections, relief from automatic stay issues, objections to discharge, etc. and has previously served on secured and unsecured creditor's committees on behalf of his clients.
