Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

In the last year or two, one of the most meaningful outcomes has been helping several fathers secure meaningful parenting time and, in some cases, primary custody after they had been denied access to their children. Whether serving as an attorney, mediator, or Guardian ad Litem, I focus on stabilizing the situation quickly and presenting clear, organized evidence so the court can make decisions that protect the child’s best interests.

How did you build a successful practice?

I built a successful practice through attention to detail, responsiveness, and consistency. I set clear expectations, communicate directly, and stay organized so clients understand the process and feel supported. I also invest in ongoing training and professional development to provide high-quality representation and mediation services.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for honesty, experience, and a lawyer who will give practical advice—not just tell them what they want to hear. A good attorney will explain strengths and weaknesses, help you plan realistically, and keep you informed so you can make confident decisions.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge matters a great deal. Understanding local court procedures, expectations, and professional norms can impact timing, strategy, and outcomes. Even when an attorney is not familiar with a specific judge or court, they should do the work to learn the local requirements and consult reliable colleagues when needed.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

In an initial consultation, we can discuss your goals, the key facts of your situation, and the legal options available under Indiana law. I can outline likely next steps, what to expect procedurally, and what information or documents would be most helpful moving forward.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

If you already have a pending case, please have your cause number, the county, and any upcoming court dates. If you have relevant documents (orders, pleadings, agreements, notices, parenting time information, or financial documents), having them available helps the attorney evaluate the situation more efficiently.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I bring a combination of litigation experience, mediation training, and court-appointed roles (such as Guardian ad Litem and Parenting Coordination) that provides a well-rounded perspective. I’m also deeply involved in the legal community, which keeps me connected to best practices and resources that benefit clients.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Helping families move forward—especially when emotions are high and the situation feels overwhelming. In divorce and custody cases, I focus on helping clients protect their children, create workable co-parenting plans, and reduce conflict so families can rebuild stability.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I enjoy movies and theater, community service, travel, staying engaged in issues affecting families and the legal system, and spending time with my daughter.

Are you involved in your community?

Yes. I’m actively involved through professional organizations, community boards, and service-focused work that supports families and strengthens access to legal resources
