Melton Law was founded by William L. Melton. William has taken pride in serving his clients and his community for many years. After experiencing his own encounters with the legal system he decided to dedicate his career to the pursuit of law. William has been involved in proactively changing to improve the community in multiple ways throughout his career. In addition to fighting for his clients in the courtroom, William is also actively involved in making changes at the legislative level. In 2015, William helped lobby and successfully pass the alternative parent-time schedule. This new law substantially increased the amount of time that non-custodial parents receive with their children. Additionally, William is an appointed member by the governor to a state Child Support Guidelines Committee. The committee is responsible for making recommendations to the legislature for changes to the child support guidelines. William has worked on hundreds of different cases from minor traffic infractions to major sex crimes and white-collar crimes. William is an experienced trial attorney with experience on all sides of a criminal case. During law school, William clerked for the Hon. Judge Parker in the Third Judicial District Court, he assisted clients in the Idaho Street Law Clinic and worked in the Utah County Attorney's Office prosecuting cases in both their misdemeanor and major crimes divisions. William loves working with his clients and doing everything in his power to help them resolve their cases with the absolute best possible outcome. George T. Waddoups has practiced law since 1982. Born and raised in Brigham City, Utah, George has enjoyed practicing law in the state of Utah because of the deep sense of community he feels for Utahans. George has always been involved with the community, whether teaching high school seminary or coaching baseball, basketball or soccer. He is motivated by his sense of civic and community responsibility. George has often spoken to high school civics and history classes. After graduating from the Utah State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Pre-law, as well as a minor in Economics, he pursued a Juris Doctorate from Memphis State University. George has always felt that education is a high priority and has instilled that in his five children. Two of his five children, Riley and Michelle Waddoups, both practice law. George has represented many people over the years, recovering over $300 million dollars for his clients in settlements and verdicts, and has reached numerous seven and eight-figure settlements. One of George’s most notable cases involved a trucking accident, which resulted in a wrongful death. George’s client was traveling on the highway, when a semi-truck made a left turn in front of him. He had little time to react, and the impact of the incident killed him. The jury reached a verdict in the case and awarded George’s client and gave his family $58.5 million dollars. This was a major relief to the victim’s family to help for future expenses that would come as a result of losing their father. George is a member of numerous legal organizations. George is rated by his peers and has been nominated a Super Lawyer for ten years, and Legal Elite for many years. Over his thirty-nine years of practice, George has been recognized nationally for his work. George has also been recognized as one of the The National Trial Lawyers Top 100, an award that recognizes an attorney’s success in preserving justice for all. George is also part of the National Association of Distinguished Counsel Top 1%. George has worked tirelessly in advocating for his clients’ relief through getting justice and obtaining fair compensation from insurance companies. Through donating his time and money, George has shown a devoted sense of community. He has regularly contributed to numerous charities. George enjoys spending time with his five children at Bear Lake, where they like to boat and spend time outdoors. George also enjoys cruising around on his Harley motorcycle, exploring the Midwest.

Aria Nejad is the founder of ADN Law Group, PLLC. In 2008, Mr. Nejad graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He then worked as an Investment Advisor for Wells Fargo Bank before deciding on attending law school. In 2013, he earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. He is licensed to practice law in both Utah State Court and Utah Federal District Court. During his time in law school Mr. Nejad testified in front of the Utah State Senate and Utah House of Representatives on public policy matters. He assisted the ACLU by drafting Research Memoranda, Testimony, and Legislative Briefing Summaries on various bills during the 2012 and 2013 legislative sessions on Utah’s Capitol Hill. In 2012, he was awarded the Fabian Law Scholarship for his dedication to Pro-Bono work & academic excellence. In addition to his law school experience, Mr. Nejad has worked in both the public and private sectors of the Utah legal community. In 2012 he worked with The Legal Aid Society in the areas of employment, labor, divorce, family, criminal defense, and juvenile law. Mr. Nejad has also worked with multiple private practice law firms concerning matters of property law, landlord-tenant disputes, medical malpractice, and personal injury.
