About W.
W. Michael Hill is a founding partner with the Tulsa, Oklahoma law firm of Secrest, Hill & Butler. He has extensive jury trial experience and concentrates in civil litigation with an emphasis in professional liability defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses, oral surgeons, dentists, podiatrists, nursing homes, as well as architects and engineers. In addition to his law practice, he has taught law as an Adjunct Professor and lectured extensively at continuing legal education seminars and seminars for hospitals, physicians and nursing homes.
Mr. Hill is a member of the Tulsa County Bar and Oklahoma Bar Associations and Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel (past officer and member of board of directors). He is a charter member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, Federation of Insurance & Corporate Counsel and Defense Research Institute, Council Oak Chapter American Inns of Court. Upon graduation from law school, he became a law clerk for the United States Chief Judge for the Northern District of Oklahoma.
Mr. Hill is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, the 8th and 10th Circuits, United States Court of Appeals and has appeared before the United States Supreme Court and the appellate process. Mr. Hill received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969 from Baylor University and graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1973. He has been engaged in the practice of law in Tulsa since that time.
