About Walter
Walter J. Fessler is a former judicial clerk of Judge Gerald McLaughlin, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He concentrates in business law and real property law with an emphasis on taxation, financings, mergers, acquisitions, stock and asset sales and other transactional matters. He served on the New Jersey Corporate and Business Law Study Commission that reviews all aspects of legislation relating to business entities and reports thereon to the Legislature. He is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Corporate and Business Law Section, as well as the ABA Section on Taxation.
He is an active member of the Inn of Transactional Counsel. During the last several years, he has concentrated on significant commercial real estate matters involving 1031 exchanges as well as shopping center leasing transactions.
He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New Jersey and New York.
