About Warren
WARREN R. GRAHAM is a member of the firm's Bankruptcy and Creditor Rights Group. Warren's background in the field, dating back to 1980, has encompassed virtually every type of representation to be found in the insolvency arena. He has represented nearly every money center bank, as well as smaller banks, in workouts and restructurings, and bankruptcy situations, involving debtor-in-possession financing, cash collateral problems, automatic stay and adequate protection litigation. He has also represented numerous debtors in Chapter 11 Cases, particularly in real estate and manufacturing cases. Warren has acquired particular expertise in sophisticated landlord-tenant issues in bankruptcy, such as "use clause" disputes, and disputed terminations. He was the prevailing attorney in one of the most important and oft-cited decisions in the "use clause" field.
Warren represented Caldor in the Alexander's bankruptcy case, and a variety of owner/developers in the Caldor, Bradlees, Channel and Rickels bankruptcy cases. He has also been involved in representation of creditors' committees and their members, in such important financial industry bankruptcies as Deak Pereira and Drexel Burnham & Lambert. Warren has a wealth of experience representing trustees in Chapter 7 and 11 cases, as well as individual creditors in discrete litigation matters, such as preferences and fraudulent conveyances. He is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, but has appeared many times, pro hac vice, in the bankruptcy courts of Connecticut, New Jersey, Virginia, Mississippi, Texas, Florida, California, Georgia and North Carolina. He has frequently lectured before many trade groups, banks and bar associations concerning various topics of interest in the bankruptcy field.
