About William
Bill is a 2000 graduate of the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, in Lansing, Michigan, with an emphasis in business transactions, and a 1995 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, with a major in biological sciences and chemistry.
Bill joined the Prince Law Firm in August 2008 after spending the previous seven years as the judicial staff attorney for the Honorable Barry M. Grant of the Oakland County Probate Court. As Judge Grant's judicial staff attorney, Bill handled a variety of issues related to guardianships, conservatorships, trusts, decedents estate, and mental health. Bill is also a member of the Oakland County Probate Mediation Committee.
While attending law school, Bill gained experience working for the Thomas M. Cooley Sixty Plus Elder Law/Estate Planning Clinic and as a clerk for private law firms.
Bill's main area of practice include estate planning, with associated business and real estate law, trust and estate administration, guardianships and conservatorships, and contested probate matters.
Bill is a member of the Michigan Bar Associaion, Oakland County Bar Association, Livingston County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
