Shane began his law career as an associate attorney at Wilkins, Stephens & Tipton in Jackson, Mississippi. In 2003, Shane moved to Columbus, Mississippi, and began working at the Studdard Law Firm. Shane formed the Tompkins Law Firm in 2012 and today, primarily practices in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury and criminal defense. Professionally, Shane is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Mississippi Public Defender's Association. In addition, he has been the Lowndes County Bar Association President and is currently the Board Attorney for Golden Triangle Waste Services. Shane also serves as the Municipal Court Judge for the City of Aberdeen, Mississippi. Shane is married to Julie Pryse Tompkins. Shane and Julie have two sons, John and Jack. They reside in Columbus, Mississippi.
