Yasha Clark received her Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center, and Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from University of Houston-Downtown.
Yasha is a licensed attorney in Louisiana and The Nation’s Capital, Washington D.C. where she operates a personal injury firm in both states. Ms. Clark is dedicated to the integrity and professionalism of the legal system and embodies it every day by being supportive and helpful to her peers. Ms. Clark also previously worked as a law clerk at the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge, La., as a law clerk for the Louisiana Senate, and as a Staff Attorney at Orleans Parish Juvenile Court.
While in law school, Ms. Clark sat on the Board of Student Advisors, was elected as the Student Bar Association’s 3L Class Representative, was a Junior Editor for the Journal of Race, Gender and Poverty, and served as the American Inns of Court Chapter President. She was selected as an Emerging Leader through the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Japan Exchange Fellowship Program in conjunction with the Embassy of Japan where she spent eight days in Tokyo, immersed in the culture.
Ms. Clark also received a Certificate of Public Law from Southern University Law Center upon graduation. Ms. Clark is also a volunteer attorney with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project . She also volunteers her time as a member of the Louis A. Martinet Society.
