I’m a litigator and trial advocate at Keating Wagner Polidori Free and I represent businesses and individuals who have been defrauded or injured by someone in a position of trust in business cases. As a commercial litigation attorney, I am passionate about representing people or businesses who are victims of fraud, abuse of power, breach of contract or professional negligence. I have successfully worked on Colorado civil lawsuits with anywhere from two thousand to two billion dollars at stake with each large case being handled as passionately as lower damage cases. I also handle probate disputes and fraudulent transfer cases.

I grew up in a family of attorneys. My grandfather, Carlos Cadena, argued several times before the United States Supreme Court and my mother, Mary Elizabeth Galvan, is a prominent attorney in Laramie, Wyoming. After graduating from the University of Wyoming College of Law, I worked for a large downtown Denver family law firm, where I gained experience handling divorces and marital estates comprising millions of dollars in assets. I learned early on that Family law requires a special touch. I use a balanced approach, treading lightly tender emotions, but pressing aggressively when necessary. From experience, I know when to compromise and when to press forward in pursuit of my clients’ interests. Ms. Austin Dominick joined Pearson & Paris, P.C. as an associate attorney in December 2020, and will focus her skillset in the areas of family law, probate, and general civil litigation. She received her Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Dominick served as president for the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, and was a member of the Environmental Law Society, Health Law Society, International Law Society, and the Women’s Law Caucus. Ms. Dominick also participated in the Washington Moderate Means Practicum where she worked on matters related to family, housing, and consumer law for those who cannot afford a full fee attorney yet exceed the low-income qualifications for free legal assistance. Having been born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Ms. Dominick is an ardent supporter of the Colorado community. She comes from a long line of distinguished lawyers and is eager to continue the family legacy of helping those in need. Ms. Dominick has experience working with diverse clients at the Seattle Civil Rights Office, the Washington Moderate Means practicum and has experience in workers compensation as well as personal injury law. Ms. Dominick understands the complex nature of the law, has an exceptional eye for detail, and will work hard to ensure her clients receive the legal representation and compassion they deserve. Ms. Dominick is passionate about protecting the environment, defending animals, and advocating for meaningful change that will promote social equity. When Ms. Dominick is away from the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, traveling, swimming, and playing with her cat and other animals. Ms. Dominick is also an avid wooden jigsaw puzzler.

Eric Staton lived in Illinois until he was in the second grade, then in Spring, Texas, until his junior year in high school. His family moved to Littleton, Colorado in 1990, where he finished high school at Heritage High School. After high school, Eric studied English and Philosophy in Regis University, so the practice of Law appealed to him because he wanted a career that utilized his strengths in writing and analytical thinking. Eric studied Law at Rutgers School of Law. Eric was mentored in the area of workers’ compensation by one of the best lawyers who ever practiced in that area in Colorado, and he focuses his legal practice primarily on workers’ compensation claims, wrongful death claims, and injury claims of all types. Eric Staton has been a licensed Colorado lawyer for over twenty (20) years and has been with the Mintz Law Firm, LLC since March 2005 as a personal injury lawyer.

Eric Sims Jr. is the Founding Partner of Flatirons Legal Group, LLC. Tough, aggressive, skilled lawyer in trial, in hearings, and in negotiations best describes Eric. In his 19 year career, Mr. Sims has litigated seven first degree murder cases, represented many clients facing life in prison, went to trial on nearly one hundred felony cases, and tried countless misdemeanor cases. Mr. Sims has also defended juveniles and college aged clients in court and in school disciplinary hearings.

Eric developed his passion for law as an undergraduate in Austin, Texas. During law school at the University of Indiana at Bloomington, Eric focused his studies on business law and contracts because he knew that he wanted to assist small and medium sized business owners realize their entrepreneurial dreams. After law school, Eric completed his M.B.A. in Germany at the University of Stuttgart in 2008. As an attorney Eric has experience practicing in front of the Colorado Court of Appeals and in courts throughout the Denver metro area. Eric has also successfully navigated the bureaucratic morass of federal and Colorado state administrative law on behalf of his clients. He has also dedicated a portion of his time pro-bono legal work with Denver Metro Volunteer Lawyer’s Family Law Court Program, a program which assists and represents litigants in family proceedings who may otherwise be unable to afford representation. Eric understands the complexities of starting and maintaining a business and can guide a small business through the start up process, acquisition of capital, employer/employee relationships, changing business entity status, mergers, and handling international disputes. As a German speaker and a former resident of Germany, Eric also has an advanced understanding of German business practices and economics that he uses to assist clients as they develop their businesses in the German market.

Kyle Bachus won his first argument in front of the state supreme court when he was only 17 years old. As a junior in high school, Kyle attended a Florida state legislation day for Florida high school students. As part of the day’s activities, he was selected to argue a predetermined topic in front of a panel of licensed lawyers sitting on a mock supreme court. He was provided with appropriate documentation, and tasked with researching and preparing his argument. Selected as one of the best presenters of the day statewide, he was both surprised and inspired. Once he decided on a career in law, there was no stopping him. The determination his opponents see in the courtroom today was nurtured in college, where he dedicated himself to excelling. Once he graduated with his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida College of Law, he began work the Monday after graduation in a plaintiff’s personal injury law firm, a natural fit for a man who had always identified with the underdog. Kyle moved to Colorado in 1994 and joined a Denver personal injury law firm. Two years later, Kyle and fellow lawyer Darin Schanker opened Bachus & Schanker, LLC with little more than a tiny, rented office and a lot of determination. Starting with less than $15,000, their business has grown into one of the largest, most well respected personal injury firms in the region.
