About Brandon
Brandon concentrates his practice on the organization and maintenance of corporations and limited liability companies. He has significant litigation experience both in the Virginia state courts and in alternative dispute resolution. Prior to joining the bar, Brandon worked in banking and securities regulation. He uses that business-oriented experience to assist General Counsel, P.C.'s clients with issues that arise throughout the lifespan of their companies.
Brandon frequently advises clients on issues related to the legal structure of their businesses, including requirements in the start-up and exit phases of business and the use of equity-based compensation to attract and retain talented employees. He also assists businesses seeking governmental certifications, such as participation in the SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program and election of Tax-Exempt Organization status with the IRS.
Brandon received his J.D., cum laude, from the George Mason University School of Law (2006), where he was a member of the George Mason Law Review and a legal research and writing fellow. He received his undergraduate degree in economics from the College of William and Mary (1998). Brandon is an Adjunct Professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law, teaching Legal Drafting. Brandon also regularly teaches business law topics in continuing education classes for various groups, including certified public accountants and certified human resources professionals, and he is an instructor for the Fairfax County Public Schools Adult and Community Education Program.
