Glick Law Firm was founded in 1981 by Brian J. From the start, Mr. Glick has been solely motivated and driven by aggressively fighting for victims of negligence, auto, truck, big rig, bicycle and pedestrian auto crashes, mal practice, defective products, wrongful death, serious falls because of defective premises especially for Florida’s seniors are more vulnerable to such wrong doing; insurance bad faith and ALL injury cases.

Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

In 2012-13 obtain 1.9 million dollars for a nay officer who was shot in the spine in a drive by shooting using an automatic weapon allegedly by gag members who an hour or so earlier we're kicked out of the low end strip club & said they would come back & shoot up the joint. No arrests were ever made...There was an ins policy but it excluded use of fire arms & assault & battery claims. I was able to recover a judgment against the bar owner & the sue the ins co for bad faith as well as how the exclusions were underwritten in violation of industry standards....After a summary judgment hearing the judge order us to mediation and I settled ....Even if the policy would have been valid the limits were 100k.I got almost 2 million (which also included the agent)...this is what separates the best from the rest..case was in Jacksonville

How did you build a successful practice?

There are only a few ways to do that & it gets harder every year w/ the hoard of attorneys especially Plaintiff PI lawyers & advertisers....Years ago I said I was going to make a commitment not to advertise but to get cases because I am a great lawyer & great lawyers no matter what the market is always gets cases..I also want quality as opposed to quantity and 1 lawyer dosen't need hundreds of cases to keep them busy...They need to focus on the good cases and help their client & learn how to become a trial lawyer.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Experience, success and if you have a real case with real injuries get a lawyer who is respected by the insurance companies; ie, means they have tried cases and WON!! Especially med mal cases & cases against major companies (guess what, they don't like to be sued:)

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Don't know what you are looking for "local knowledge" I've tried cases all over the state sometimes it matters you're a ;local & sometimes it's a breath of fresh air to get a different personality in the area.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

spend a lot of time talking to leads & going through the situation & trying to answer the questions & help them...even if it's not a case, being nice to people always has benefits.....I can't stand lawyers that don't talk to the clients.......To me & my firm, IT'sALL ABOUT THE CLIENTS"

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Me, I hate this It speaks for itself......Best Lawyers in America; National Trial Lawyers only Top 1% invited; Board Certified Civil Trial law; recertified 3x; superlawyers....what matters is winning on and for the client & not how big the fee is, that's the byproduct..........the most rewarding aspect of the job is prevailing in those cases (like the one shooting above) where the defense lawyers says you have no chance....I have made a career on those type cases

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Before my spinal surgeries I was a lifelong basketball player; a gym rat; yoga; and in my 30's ran 2 marathons..I used to coach both my sons baseball & basketball teams year after year

Are you involved in your community?

I am a past president of the Palm Beach County Trial Lawyers Assn; former long time board of directors of academy of Florida trial lawyers & state delegate to the national organization.I spent many years lobby inTallahassee for many consumer organizations, bills and laws Years ago I was on the local board of the Boys/Girls Club of America
