Mr. Severe left the finance world in 2009 and applied to law school, choosing Florida as his desired destination. After only two and a half years, Mr. Severe graduated a semester early from Barry University Law School, Orlando. During his short tenure in law school, Mr. Severe had many great experiences. The highlight of law school for Mr Severe came in the summer of 2011 when, in Florence, Italy, Mr. Severe had the privilege of taking a course taught by the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, John Roberts. Upon graduating from Law School, Mr. Severe decided to realize another goal: Opening his own firm. He accomplished this with a colleague he met while attending Law School. The partners chose to focus their practice in areas of law that benefit the community. Mr. Severe brings his years of experience in retail and finance to his practice, placing the needs of the clients at the top of his priorities to ensure his clients feel secure in their choice to work with the Tampa Law Group. I have successfully handled cases throughout Central Florida, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties and I know both sides of the conflict. After graduating from law school with honors from Mercer University in 1993, my first job was with a firm that handled lawsuits on behalf of insurers. I was mentored in and taught the strategies and tactics of the defense. As I gained that experience, I came to realize that I was on the wrong side of the struggle. I made the most rewarding move of my career when I joined the Plaintiffโs bar and began helping victims in their fight to recover from their losses. While I have never looked back, I believe that the knowledge I gained representing my now adversary, gives me valuable insight and perspective in overcoming the obstacles and roadblocks the insurance lawyers raise. If you hire me I will bring that knowledge and experience to bear in your case. I promise to handle your case professionally and work diligently to obtain the justice you deserve.
