Christopher J. Finley is the Managing Attorney at Finley Law Firm. He practices primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust dispute law. Chris is motivated by the proactive nature of estate planning and utilizes strategies to bring peace of mind to his clients and prevent court action. His former practice areas include commercial litigation, real estate law, employment law, contract law, collections, and business organization and administration. He has extensive experience as support for complex commercial and civil litigation matters, including claims in such areas as civil RICO, fraud and fraudulent transfer, real estate, medical malpractice, personal injury, and bankruptcy adversary proceedings. Chris was selected with the Mountain States Super Lawyers Rising Stars for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Run-Zhi was born in a small town in southern China, and left home at 17 to attend college hundreds of miles away in Wuhan. Following college, Run-Zhi came to Texas to pursue a Ph.D. in life sciences at Texas A&M University. In pursuing the American dream, RunZhi always gives one-hundred percent no matter how difficult the task. It was in Texas that Run-Zhi experienced first-hand how complex and impactful the law can be in one’s life and was inspired to pursue a legal career. After completing his Ph.D., Run-Zhi attended The University of Michigan Law School where he received the Clyde A. Dewitt Law Scholarship. After obtaining his law degree, RunZhi worked in the biotechnology industry for almost a decade and authored numerous research articles and book chapters. Run-Zhi is an attorney admitted to practice in New York, Utah, and the USPTO, with a focus on intellectual property. Run-Zhi previously worked at an IP boutique law firm helping his clients secure, transfer, and protect their intangible assets, and vigorously defending their rights against infringement. His experience includes patent prosecution, complex litigation of patent, trademark, and copyright matters, as well as personal injury civil litigation. He has represented individual and corporation clients in various IP and civil matters.

He’s been through several serious injuries himself, including a motorcycle accident at the age of 17 when he lost his left leg, just above the knee. Kelly understands the trauma and stress that follow a serious accident and has made it his mission to defend the rights and settlements of personal injury victims.

Before John earned his law degree from the University of Michigan, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in both Economics and Mathematics from the University of Iowa. That’s why he brings such a detail-oriented and analytical focus to all of his litigation matters, and why he’s been retained by big and small clients, from large banks and factoring lenders to property owners, entrepreneurs and investors.
