About Danielle
Danielle Loevy received her law degree with honors from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1995, after which she worked for several employment law firms before forming the partnership of Loevy & Loevy with her husband, Jon Loevy.
As a lawyer, Danielle has practiced in the areas of employment discrimination, civil rights, and domestic relations. She has considerable litigation and trial experience, and has served as co-counsel at numerous successful jury trials with federal jury verdicts totalling millions of dollars for her clients.
More recently, Danielle has devoted the primary focus of her career to assisting others resolve conflicts through mediation and the prevention of workplace disputes through facilitation and training. As a co-founder of Stone and Loevy, LLC, Danielle mediates disputes, facilitates group problem solving, designs and conducts organizational trainings, and consults on issues related to conflict. Danielle's broad professional background in law, mediation, training, and diversity facilitation uniquely qualify her to assist clients in productively addressing conflict. While Danielle's mediation experience includes virtually all types of disputes, her current practice is focused primarily on matters relating to employment and family conflict.
Danielle is the current President of the Chicago area Chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR Chicago). From 2003 until 2005, she served as Vice President of the Mediation Council of Illinois (MCI). Throughout her career, Danielle has presented numerous workshops on mediation and diversity related subjects at various conferences and continuing education venues around Chicagoland.
In 2004, Danielle was awarded the prestigious honor of "Trainer of the Year" by the Center for Conflict Resolution in Chicago, an organization in which she remains actively involved as a mediator, lecturer, and trainer.
Through her work with The Kaleidoscope Group, Danielle has also served as a diversity consultant and facilitator, leading diversity workshops for hundreds of employees ranging from hourly workers to senior management. Since 2004, Danielle has served as the Director of the Legal Practice for The Kaleidoscope Group, bringing the diversity journey to law firms and legal organizations.
Over the course of her career, in addition to her legal work, Danielle has served as a mediator for more than a hundred cases, and has led trainings for hundreds, if not thousands, of people.
Danielle is also the mother of twin sons, Carter and Ethan, who were born in March 2002. When she has any spare time, she likes to be with her family, run, read, and play tennis.
