David A. Marsocci is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts and Massachusetts School of Law. He was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1995 and the New Hampshire bar in 1997. He has a diverse background in real estate law, including land use, municipal law, landlord-tenant, litigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and conveyancing.
Attorney Marsocci began his legal career in 1994, clerking for the Presiding Chief Justice of the Land Court in Boston, MA. The Land Court retains exclusive jurisdiction over many land matters including foreclosures, tax disputes, land use issues such as subdivisions, variances, special permits and other various municipality challenges.
Attorney Marsocci then worked for a private attorney in Dedham, MA where he concentrated his practice in the areas of real estate law, secured transactions and the disposition of probate property.
Following his position in private practice, Attorney Marsocci returned to the public sector with the Neighborhood Legal Services in Lynn, MA where he acted as counselor and attorney for qualifying low-income participants. His representation included such diverse legal issues as the preservation of supplemental income benefits, landlord-tenant and bankruptcy related matters.
In 1995, Attorney Marsocci accepted an Associate position with Harmon Law Offices, P.C., a large suburban real estate firm in Newton, MA. Attorney Marsocci acted as counsel to numerous banks, mortgage companies and property managers, and he concentrated his practice in the areas of real estate law and creditors' rights.
In 1997 he was promoted to lead Harmon's Landlord/Tenant Department where he was responsible for managing and overseeing the handling of a large volume of pre-litigation and litigation matters. During this time, Attorney Marsocci also authored an article that was published and distributed by an exclusive national network of foreclosure and bankruptcy attorneys. He continued to participate in foreclosures, bankruptcies and real estate related litigation as well.
Prior to joining DOLAN CONNLY. Attorney Marsocci was the principal in MARSOCCI LAW OFFICES located in Boston, MA, and concentrated his practice in the areas of real estate law, including land use, municipal law, landlord-tenant, litigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and conveyancing.
Attorney Marsocci first became Of Counsel to the firm in 2001 before he joined DOLAN CONNLY in April of 2002 to manage and oversee the Real Estate Department. His practice continues to be concentrated in the areas of conveyancing, land use, landlord-tenant, foreclosure, bankruptcy and related litigation.
Attorney Marsocci has authored a number of articles covering a variety of topics including withholding rent, condominium conversions, the homestead act, toxic mold, I.R.C 1031 tax deferred like kind exchanges, nominee trusts and miscellaneous landlord-tenant matters.
Attorney Marsocci has served as the Chairman of the Hull Zoning Board of Appeals, a member of the Duxbury Zoning Board of Appeals and currently resides in Pembroke, MA.
