About Donald
Donald G. Parachini is a veteran banking attorney who also advises businesses on financial and corporate matters. His special area of expertise and experience has been all aspects of banking law, including lending, operations, formation of new banks, bank holding companies, acquisitions, mergers, regulatory and securities matters.
Don is a 1956 graduate of Washington State University and a 1963 graduate of the University of California, Boalt Hall. Prior to entering private practice, he was counsel for three years in the legal department of a major California bank until 1967, when he joined Cerf, Robinson & Leland, which is the predecessor firm to Leland, Parachini, Steinberg, Matzger & Melnick, LLP.
In addition to helping to establish and sell a number of California community banks, Don served for 25 years as a director of the California subsidiary of a large Japanese bank.
A community leader, Don serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations.
