Reviews

I see some bad reviews on here. However, I feel the customer service representatives are doing the best they can with the new regulations that were implemented for 2018. Over all my draw experience went great. I read the 2018 big game brochure, followed the steps on how to apply, had my credit card up to date and was awarded licenses. The staff is very helpful whenever I have questions about wildlife and parks.

I'm not sure if the Colorado Division Of Wildlife know how to manage wild life. Example, if the decision is to kill off a species like giant lake trout 10lbs and up witch take decades to get to that size and is a challenge to catch, to keep a species like Kokanee 4lbs is consider big and live maybe 4yrs and is easy to catch witch means more money, they will choose to do so. You can not tell me that you can't have both because there are other states that do know how to manage wild life succeed and do so very well. There are plenty of other examples of poor management but I don't have the time to go into details, and it is just falling on deaf ears anyways. If it affects their pocket books then they will do whatever it takes to fix it, even if it requires killing off a species. The problem is at the top were the decision making is made. There needs to be a big overhaul in the upper level.

They need to figure out a better way to sell leftover licenses online. I was prepared and signed into my account and waiting from 9:01am until 9:14am just to get in the system. Their system was so slow then it took me until 9:29am to finally hit submit. Obviously by this time the license I was trying to purchase was sold out. They really need to upgrade their servers to give us a chance.

As always the Division staff do well with what they have to work with. Never thought that the license system could get much worse. But you prove me wrong. I have two boys trying to get tags and we don't pull any for deer. We get put into the limited leftover draw and have to settle for so so tags. Then the leftover tags come out that will go to the general population and low and behold there's 46 tags from our original first choice area. Why the heck did they not require people to pay for the tags first before the limited left over draw so those tags would have went back into the limited leftover draw instead of the public leftover draw. nAnother poor thought out plan by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Online system is terrible I was online to get leftovers at exactly 9am, only to take 45 minutes to sign in. No tags left of course! Another terrible day for Colorado hunters and disappointed of our Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Maybe they blocked us out to sell those pricey out of state licenses.
