Attorney Eric Richard has helped me with my Order of Protection and my immigration needs simultaneously. He focused more on my Order of Protection because it was an immediate need. He made sure to relay everything from him personally and also through his paralegal. I can’t stress this enough, he made sure that he was on his toes every step of the way. Warned me of potential hearing results, helped me understand the differences between those results, and especially what to do for my safety and sanity. Eric Richard also consoled me and reassured me that I will be safe. And I thank him for this. I had a company benefit that includes legal coverage through certain attorneys for free, and Eric was one who was covered through this. My experience, start to finish, was so bad that I fired him even though he was free--it was worth spending the thousands on a decent attorney. I had to hunt Eric down for responses, his work constantly did not reflect what we had last talked about, and even to a non-attorney his work was observably sloppy and disjointed. I even had to tell him multiple times that he had used incorrect names in the documents. He effectively wasted months of my time before I gave up trying to work with him. The opposing attorney (and I agree with her) said of his work "This looks like an 8th grade draft." He frankly embarrassed me and himself.

BEWARE OF THIS LAWER: I was referred to Eric Richard by ARAG to handle my family law matter. The trial and post trial brief were mishandled. Issues included not providing the correct financial document for trial, forgetting to include my non-marital claim as an outstanding matter at trial and requesting the wrong custody schedule in the post trial brief. (To name a few issues) Eric was aware of these errors and refused to correct them and/ or made a haphazard effort. I have now had to incur the expense of going to another attorney to attempt to get these errors rectified. On multiple occasions I have also been emailed in error high confidential information about other clients cases. This has called into question the security of my case and personally identifiable information in the care of this office. Update: I was made aware by Mr. Richard that he submitted a draft of my post trial brief to the court instead of a final version. This resulted in the judge not considering medical, dental or child care expenses that I incurred in over a two year period amongst additional issues. BEWARE OF THIS ATTORNEY
