Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Buyer beware. Avoid at all costs. Came to this firm needing help with what I thought was simple. This office has taken every opportunity to drag out, extend, obfuscate, and confuse. They'll demand a credit card retainer up front and then work to extract every single dollar with no expectation of ever providing client value. They've come to meetings completely unprepared or having made zero progress from previous meetings. And, they'll charge you even after they make meetings unproductive. This firm will leave you with no communication for months then charge you to respond in email after begging for an update. This firm constantly has 'court emergencies' where whoever you're working with will be unavailable. I've worked with other law firms in the past and had a great experience. The level of care and competence is just NOT up par. I understand paying for expertise, and am a business services professional myself. I could never imagine providing the level of service I've received this organization.

My husband and I have been very satisfied clients with this law firm for the past 22 years. We are owners of 2 small businesses, have oil and gas issues, have estate planning needs , insurance and contract issues. This firm has been a wealth of information on all of the above categories. We have received timely responses based in accurate representation of the law. The billing has been more than fair and many times we are given a discount on our bill. Most recently, we have been involved in a complicated estate issue that unfortunately involved extensive litigation. John Corcoran has done an excellent job representing us against 2 very unreasonable beneficiaries. His extensive research of the law, knowledge of the law and strategic ability resulted in winning the law suit. Finally, and most importantly, everyone we have worked with at this firm has been very ethical in their pursuit of justice because they are genuinely good and honest people. If you don’t have a good case they are upfront and tell you to drop the issue rather than wasting your money. They get a five star review!

We were referred to Mr. Thomas Dempsey to assist in resolving an ongoing issue with our late Sister’s estate. From our initial call, Mr. Dempsey was polite, patient and recommended the correct path forward. Mr. Dempsey and the staff at Jones Gregg have been consistently responsive and professional, and I can happily report, the issue has been resolved!

This is an update to previous review. Posted today 1/26/2024. Mr. Dempsey closed out the estate of my Aunt and was extremely fair in his hourly billing and the associated final invoice. Even though at times we were frustrated with the length of time it took to close the estate in the end Mr. Dempsey delivered and operated with integrity and fairness. I would recommend Mr. Dempsey. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Our family hired Mr. Thomas Dempsey of Jones Gregg to work towards an estate closure. My Aunt had passed away three years ago and we were having issues getting transparency on the estate assets from the estate executor. We contacted Mr Dempsey and throughout the course of the engagement had a difficult time getting responses to various inquiries. He was not very responsive. We have lost valuable time in closing the estate. Mr Dempsey is very knowledgeable but could improve his responsiveness.

I used this firm for a simple matter regarding a construction lien. After several years and tens of thousands of dollars my case was resolved I could have done the same on my own. Once you retain them, the bills will start. I had to look over every bill! Every one had inaccuracies! I have been in business for 40 years. Very familiar how the system works. However, this firm takes running up the bill to a whole new level! The reply was typical! You have about 20k of mine for expunging a lien. I can see a murder defense but filing some papers and never going to court, sorry I cant see the value! I am not that guy to write reviews. I am compelled only to put future clients on notice. Just watch the time sheets for billing. I found many mistakes.....yes, in their favor!
