I recently attended an Estate Planning seminar at Cup and Saucer in San Jose and it was EXCELLENT. Our presenter, Maggie helped us navigate the complex and sometimes daunting subject of living trusts. She was thorough and spoke in layman terms we could understand. Maggie took my existing trust and reviewed it for me at no charge! I now have greater peace of mind that my affairs are in good order. I especially like that this firm specializes in elder law and is committed to assisting elders in the many issues we face in our later years. I enjoyed the seminar and learned a lot, both from the presenters and the others who attended. I would not hesitate to avail myself of their professional services in the future!

I worked with Dedra to help me navigate the labyrinth of getting my mom into Medi-Cal, and then some more significant hurdles once we had leapt over that one.; I came to this experience knowing nothing about this very daunting part of our bureaucracy. I also had the stress of a mother who was profoundly ill. Dedra was *fantastic*. She answered my questions clearly and professionally, yet so quickly that it seemed like she was bending the laws of physics. She made herself available on time that was inconvenient to her when we had some problems come up. I had an excellent outcome with my mom, I mean, as excellent as could be expected, I guess. I cannot recommend Dedra (and the business she associates with) highly enough. She is warm, knowledgeable, and very good at what she does. I didn't interact with any of the other members of their business, so I can't vouch for anybody else. But, if she is representative of the people there, then she has really awesome teammates. I can't imagine her being willing to work with anybody other than the best, so... If you need to work through the legalities of long-term care for a dementia patient, I strongly recommend you reach out to her, you'll be glad you did.

My wife and I decided to open a Trust account to protect our assets and a friend referred us to Litherland, Kennedy & Associates. We are so happy to be working with this organization ... they are very professional, knowledgeable and tailored everything to our particular needs when creating our Trust. The staff at Litherland, Kennedy & Associates has been extremely helpful and professional in assisting my family. In addition to writing trusts for several family members, their geriatric care manager, Dedra Jize has walked us through the change to assisted living. We weren't sure at first that we needed her services, but at this point I can't imagine having done it on our own. She is clear, compassionate and knowledgeable and can provide the outside, independent perspective that a family sometimes needs. In our case, she also managed the application for Medi-Cal. Again, we could not have navigated this on our own. I believe that Litherland has retired and we have been very happy with Kennedy and Associates.

Justin Kennedy is our estate lawyer. He is very knowledgeable and fair on how he handles existing trusts. With the Medicare/Medi-Cal always changing, he stays up to date and lets his clients know when changes need to be made to their trust. Also, they have a geriatric care consultant, Dedra Jze who is very helpful in the complicated world of Medicare/Medi-Cal world. She not only helps with the Medi-Cal application but is able to provide information and advice in the area. She helped me figure out a plan for my elderly parents when it comes to: LTC insurance, Medicare, Medi-Cal, VA, assisted living, skilled nursing facility and hospice. I'm very grateful for the help
