I absolutely do NOT recommend this firm. Cordell & Cordell representing fathers was a bait and switch. You don't get the attorney that does the initial interview. So much for getting a feel of who you'll be working with on the case. Mine was a simple case with limited assets, yet they charged $14k+ and took almost a year of time to have it closed out. n Essentially just processing paperwork. I was left with the feeling of not being represented at all. After being passed from 2 attorneys who left the firm, I ended up with a Sr. Attorney out of Fulton County that it looks like someone gave a glowing review years ago. Couldn't disagree more. He appeared to have done little preparation for my mitigation and showed zero familiarity in dealing with Gwinnett County since he was based out of Fulton County. He allowed opposing counsel to regulate the entire proceeding. He offered little to no council during mediation and reduced himself to secretary in typing up the mitigation memo as opposing counsel dictated it to him. I got more feedback to my questions from the mediator who was supposed to be impartial. What was supposed to be a 50/50 split of assets did not end that way based on the way my attorney chose to word items in the final doc. Missteps and omitted info left me the impression that my attorney just wanted a case passed down to him to end as quickly as possible regardless of how things ended with me. Post-mediation, I did some of mine own research that confirmed my thoughts. If I had known ahead of time, I definitely would not have agreed. My attorney should have known but did not advise me. His final response to me when I accused him of allowing me to be "railroaded" through the mediation proceeding..."I didn't tell you to sign it." Well, he didn't tell me NOT to sign it either. So at least a slight admission on lack of council on his part.

stay away stay away. The legal experience of the actual lawyer you get will be lacking in my opinion, and based on the experience I had they intentionally drag out your case in the hopes of billing more and more for admin charges. I ended up getting a second attorney who resolved my case in a few weeks (and doing what the cordell intake attorney said they would do in the first place) after cordell spent months on the case. Oh and also, they offer no new insight what so ever on protecting your parental rights, that is just fear mongering. My cordell attorney actually said "you need to accept that fact that you will lose your children" thank God for my new attorney!
