Reviews

Having gone through years of mental abuse from my previous partner, I didn’t have the guts to write this review until now because I thought everything that happened was normal and my fault. I’ll start with she was extremely unprofessional on the phone until she realized I could be a potential client. She didn’t show up for my first court date even though I clearly had the right date and received the same filings as she did (in fact mine were a copy of a copy from the court). She blamed me and said “why didn’t you tell me about the date?”, as someone who has never been through the process before and I assumed she had done this process a number of times in her career, I didn’t believe the onus to be on myself and was mortified and confused. I also had sent her an email the night previous stating that I would see her in court the following morning. She said she would not charge me for the missed court date and the subsequent phone call but in her billing statements, she clearly did charge me for them. She also bragged about how my ex husbands lawyer was all talk and wouldn’t actually get anything accomplished, and promised me so many more things like half of the tax return that my exhusband and I received that year (not that I care about money but don’t promise me something and then do nothing), or, more important, I would get more time parenting time with my children. She didn’t push for anything, she gave in to all his lawyers demands and I didn’t get a single thing I asked for. Not only did she irreparably damage my financial situation but she was irresponsible with my case and was extremely unprofessional. Luckily, when my ex husband inevitably took me back to court, I found a much better lawyer, Royce Nunley. He was extremely professional, was extremely patient and kind to me, and showed up to court (via video call) despite having Covid! And it highlighted all of Mrs. Talarico’s missteps. Save your time, money and mental health by going to a lawyer who actually will fight for you.
Thank you for cutting me off on the phone and just hanging up on me without letting me finish my sentence. DV cases seem not in her interest.
