Payne & Payne

(Update) Apparently, I have been messaging wrong person regarding several issues I had. Gary from Payne and Payne stopped by few days later and addressed all my issues promptly. It appears that we just had simple communication errors. I really appreciated how Gary identified issues right away and gave me several options for solution. I am confident that I won't have the problem of reaching someone from on. (Old Post) I just moved into new building built by Payne and Payne few months ago. Unfortunately I already started to notice few things going wrong with the house. The biggest problem is that one of the room in second floor has a small leak in the ceiling. I contacted multiple times but I haven't heard back from the builder which was very disappointing since I thought they had a good reputation in the area. Also my power went dark multiple times even though it is not tripping circuit breaker. It only last short times normally so I only mentioned it once but again no response from the builder. I understand that contractors are busy now days but I would think that contractors would make sure their job is done right at least for an year. Unfortunately, I am getting stonewalled I am not sure reason for it. Is that how Payne and Payne normally operates? I am writing this review partially so I might hear from others whether is is typical thing you should expect from the company or maybe I am being discriminated against due to my personal circumstance. If anyone have any advice on what I can do, I would appreciate it greatly.

The professionals at Payne and Payne guided us through every step of the process and we were kept informed of what was happening with our house. We were given a schedule at the beginning of the build and the house remained on schedule and was completed by the scheduled date. They worked very hard to stay within our budget. When we made changes and additions they were very careful to give us the prices of additions. Communications was great. Calls were returned promptly. Buildertrend was a great help in communication. We were amazed at how clean the work site was kept. Floors were swept daily and all trash was removed daily. Building a house is a very confusing process at times. The professionals at Payne and Payne worked hand in hand with us to insure we understood the process. We were kept informed of what was happening. We are very pleased with our house and highly recommend them to others.

We would build again and again with Payne and Payne. The process from design to completion was organized and timely. Their response time was phenomenal - any questions or changes were typically addressed within hours. They were accommodating to changes along the way and offered their expert opinion to improve the layout and design of our home. Ultimately, I got the impression that they built our house as if it was their own. We are proud to call this house our home!

It’s been over six months since our project with Payne & Payne was completed, and my wife and I are still talking about what a great experience it was and what tremendous work they did. From beginning to end, they exceeded expectations. They were always clear, open, and honest about what they could and could not do (within our budget, I mean), they were prompt, they communicated well, and they completed a kitchen renovation plus an addition on the house on time and with absolutely beautiful results. The other thing worth noting is that our project was on the more modest end of the spectrum. Payne & Payne do some projects that cost ten times what ours did, but they always treated us the way you’d expect someone doing a multi-million dollar renovation to be treated. I just can’t say enough good things about them. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor in northeast Ohio, and I’d hire them again in a heartbeat myself.

We are very satisfied with the quality and design of the custom home we built with Payne & Payne. From initial design to the construction, they were very flexible and creative with the custom features of our home. It was very helpful to have a one-stop shop for the architecture and interior/exterior design. The team was great to work with.
