Teachers have good intentions and don't mean to harm the children in anyway and if they do they simply apologize and move on. In addition the office staff is amazing, always smiling and greeting you in the best way possible. Finally the lunch staff yeah the food isn't as good as a gourmet meal but the lunch staff and monitors have a good sense of humor and are simply amazing to be around.

The school is ok and the food is ok but if you get to the school early they get extremely mad if you go inside. I don't get why. I walked inside at around 7:35 AM through the band hall which they keep unlocked and Mr. B Smith comes around the corner and starts yelling at me for getting to school EARLY! If anything they should be happy! I did/do it every day and its the same.

ok i had my first year here and honestly it could’ve gone better. if u are a 5th grader going into 6th and you have 61, ms pearson and ms deol are teachers pets so try to be on their good side. other than that, lunch is really bad and gym is actually kinda fun. if you want to go here, it will be good only if u are nice to your teachers and friends.

a final comeback review. now, the purpose of a review is to share your thoughts on the school and advocate change, but it seems after around a year or two that's not happened. it gets worse. homework is plentiful and definitely sporadic, as some days you get nothing, and some you get pounds of it. the school police officer has nothing better to do then to seriously punish and threaten kid-like behavior, going as far as to take a friend's phone and taking pictures for 15 minutes because she was looking at a parody account. mr. b smith is a horrendous, power-hungry vp of walsh. he is extremely rude to students, and on rare occasions staff, but when an adult shows up, he is very nice and respectful. attention and help is put onto the kids who do not want to learn, therefore the children who want to learn learn nothing. the dress code, that i understand is a necessary part of the rrisd board, is enforced strictly. i have gotten my hat (that i have not worn backwards, sideways, or in any way affiliated with gang activity) taken away for the rest of the year. i have seen students walking out of athletics wearing their athletics uniforms get dress coded. another thing is that jokes, although in many cases too close to comfort, are taken too seriously. a friend had the cops come to his house for words taken out of context. to close, there are teachers and staff who care dearly about the students, and i salute them. i am focusing now on the negative aspects of the school, but i do not want to leave the good staff unspoken.

I don’t go here, but I am going here, so I need sum advice. I’m looking at the reviews of Cedar and here, and they are both really bad. I heard there is bullying at Cedar? And this school this bad too? It’s either this school or that. What I’m intrested in is the clubs, that is what I’m wondering. I’m into manga and anime blah blah blah and I need some New friends. So if you could comment or tell me what they are and some good advice that would be awesome :D
