Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Last year, my client's husband served her with a complaint for divorce. She did not answer the complaint because she wanted the divorce to take place. She asked only that the Friend of the Court's recommendation of $230.00 per month for child support. The husband refused to provide any child support for their one minor child. I was able to get the default set aside and obtained $600.00 per month child support, plus an agreement to pay my client 25% of the value of the business, started during the marriage.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should seek: competence, compassion, a willingness to listen, passion to advocate, the willingness and ability to tell the client the truth, even when it (the truth) is distasteful.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I am a competent attorney, with a great deal of experience who enjoys the practice of law. I am willing to develop flexible payment arrangements for people.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

I enjoy helping people.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I am active in my church. I enjoy watching sporting events. I enjoy politics. I enjoy reading.

I am involved with my church. I am also on the Board of a mentoring organization. I am a member of a college fraternity and I am a Mason.
