Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

In a chapter 13 case, I was successful in having my client's second mortgage removed off of her home. This saved my client over $43,000.00.

How did you build a successful practice?

A large number of my clients are referrals from former clients. I do the best job I can for each client, and my clients trust me enough to refer their family, friends, and co-workers to me for assistance.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

A successful lawyer/client relationship is built on communication. A client should select a lawyer that they find easy to talk to and to communicate with.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

I can discuss a potential client's financial situation in general terms and I can also discuss some potential options.br>

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

A potential client who calls for a telephone consultation should have a general knowledge of their financial situation, their income, their assets, and their debt.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

I've been practicing consumer bankruptcy law for 10 years and it is the area of law where I dedicate my primarily focus.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of my job is dealing with real people and seeing the positive effect that I am able to have on their lives. It is extraordinarily rewarding to see the stress melt off a client's face when they see the financial relief that bankruptcy can give them.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Spending time with my family, organic gardening, reading, painting, writing, and of course, football.

Are you involved in your community?

My family and I are active in our church and give back to the community through several charitable and outreach opportunities through our church. Also, I regularly accept pro bono cases through the Baton Rouge Bar Foundation.
