About Jennifer

"Our clients deserve zealous advocacy of their position and, at the same time, the realism that will enable them to assess and manage their own risk."

Jennifer joined Sally & Fitch in 2001 after spending the first two years of her legal career as a litigator with Goulston & Storrs, P.C. Approximately half of Jennifer's litigation practice is comprised of real estate disputes, including the following subject areas: complex title matters; easements and deed restrictions; planning and zoning appeals, real estate contracts; and commercial leasing. Jennifer also handles a variety of commercial and contractual disputes. Jennifer also represents local banks in check and wire fraud cases and handles tort defense matters for major utility companies.

Jennifer has extensive experience in both trial court and appellate practice, and has argued in courts in Boston and throughout eastern Massachusetts. She recently prevailed at the Appeals Court in a complicated title case involving claims of equitable estoppel, estoppel by deed, the difference between warranty deeds and quitclaim deeds, and adverse possession. See Conte v. Marine Lumber, Inc., 66 Mass. App. Ct. 505 (2006).

Jennifer's abilities as a litigator are enhanced by the skills she developed during four years spent working as a daily newspaper reporter before attending law school, including more than three years with the Worcester Telegram & Gazette. As a reporter, Jennifer covered municipal government and finance, schools, crime, and courts.

Jennifer is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross. She was graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Law in 1999, where she received the Melville M. Bigelow Scholarship Award, conferred by the faculty upon the student in her class showing the most promise as a scholar and teacher of law.

Jennifer is a member of New England Women in Real Estate and the Women's Bar Association. For the last five years she was named "Rising Star" in the "Super Lawyers" poll appearing in Boston Magazine, placing her in the top 2.5% of Massachusetts lawyers under age 40. She is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and Maine, as well as in the Court of Federal Claims.
