John Ward was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1942. He has been of counsel to the firm since 1987. He graduated from Fordham University, magna cum laude, in 1964 and from Boston University Law School in 1976. He clerked for Judge Raymond J. Pettine of the United States District Court, District of Rhode Island in 1976-77, and served as the Legal Director of the Gay and Lesbian Advocates & Defenders 19788-81.
