About Julia

Serving clients throughout the great state of Missouri, we offer video conferencing and telephone appointments. We meet with clients at our Clayton and Chesterfield (St. Louis) and Kansas City (Country Club Plaza) offices by appointment only and often travel to clients outside the St. Louis area when needed.  Many of our clients mistakenly believe that only the wealthy are able to access legal services at reasonable prices.  We are here to demystify that belief!!  Most of our services are flat-fee (not hourly); probate and guardianships are usually the statutory rates, taken out of the estate assets. Our phones are answered 24/7. 800-886-5981 OR 314-535-7500.

Call today to learn more about my fee structure. We offer flat fees, hourly fees, and hybrid fees.

Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Client suffered brain injuries in motorcycle accident within months of inheriting money; we created a Special Needs Trust so he could benefit from his inheritance but still qualify for government assistance. Another client had five amendments to her Revocable Trust - too many, and too confusing! We combined all her relevant wishes into one Restatement of her Revocable Trust so that her heirs could easily administer her estate.

How did you build a successful practice?

We have a caring staff, with people who listen carefully, have much experience, and who deliver prompt results.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Clients should look for a lawyer with experience who are also able to listen, and who have a staff to support them to deliver on their promises.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is important with probate and guardianships, and we have 30+ years combined experience in Eastern Missouri courts. St. Louis County, St. Charles County, Jefferson County, Franklin County and Washington County. With estate planning, staying up to date with Missouri State law is critical.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

We will provide a general plan of how we can help and usually quote a flat fee. We will email an Attorney Client Agreement, Intake forms, FAQ sheets, and other needed documents as soon as agreed in order to expedite handling of the client's needs

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

We need a general idea of the scope of the matter, who the people involved are, and contact information for everyone involved.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

Having been a lawyer for 30 years, I not only am up to date on relevant law, but I am able to listen carefully, read between the lines, and offer solutions you might not otherwise have considered, simply because I have seen so very many family situations and challenges.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

i love serving my clients and I love practicing law. Explaining legal options to clients in easy to understand, everyday language so that the client feels empowered to make important legal decisions is a joy for me.
