Ms. Beharry has been engaged in the practice of law for over a decade and is experienced in both civil litigation and transactional representation at the state and federal level. Ms. Beharry’s experience includes representation of government agencies including the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), the Department of Health, the Department of Economic Opportunity, and the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. Ms. Beharry has served as lead counsel for the Agency for Health Care Administration in Medicaid overpayment litigation actions and has recovered in excess of one million dollars from highly sophisticated clients including hospitals, physicians, and physician practice groups. Ms. Beharry has also handled a broad range of Medicaid issues for the Agency, including requests for variances or waivers, cost report audits, policy issues, and quality assessment fees. Ms. Beharry’s health law experience began at the Department of Health where she represented the Department in proceedings against licensed health care practitioners and pharmacies in front of their respective Boards. Ms. Beharry’s current practice utilizes her extensive background to provide individualized and proactive legal representation to individuals and health care providers in a wide variety of litigation, business, regulatory, and reimbursement matters.
Ms. Beharry’s practice includes a broad range of matters involving civil litigation, state government, estate planning, family law, and probate administration. Her estate practice consists of simple and complex estate planning, drafting of wills, advance medical directives, establishing durable power of attorney, and trusts. She also represents personal representatives throughout Florida in formal probate administration and has assisted probate clients ranging from Pensacola to Miami. In furtherance of the firm’s core mission of increasing accessibility to legal services for all communities, Ms. Beharry offers a reduced rate on estate planning services for active duty military, reservists, veterans, and their families.

Before entering the practice of law Ms. Beharry was employed by Merrill Lynch, a Fortune 500 company. During law school, Ms. Beharry interned for a Circuit Court Judge, was selected for a Florida Bar Public Interest Fellowship, and worked for the United States Department of Justice at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Ms. Beharry graduated with honors and earned three Book Awards in Research and Writing, Torts, and Criminal Procedure at Florida Coastal School of Law. She earned her Bachelor's degree with honors from the University of Central Florida.
