About Leonard
LEONARD M. MALKIN
Leonard Malkin is a 1962 graduate at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and a 1965 graduate of the University of Illinois Law School. Mr. Malkin joined the firm of Mandel, Lipton and Stevenson Limited, predecessor to Mandel, Lipton, Roseborough and Lifshitz Limited, as a partner in 1971.
Mr. Malkin's practice includes representing persons seeking guardianship of a minor child or disabled child. Mr. Malkin also represents persons seeking guardianship of an elderly loved one who now suffers from such conditions such as Senile Dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Mr. Malkin's practice also includes representing the families of deceased loved ones in the probate of estates. As in guardianship cases, Mr. Malkin also assists in the sale of real and personal property, including business interests. Mr. Malkin also advises his clients on estate planning to protect their spouses, children and grandchildren, while minimizing federal estate taxes.
Often the guardianship or probate estate is caused by an accident or professional malpractice. In these situations, Mr. Malkin represents the injured client or pursues the wrongful death claim for the estate's benefit.
