Lisa Brown Esq. is the principal attorney for Brown Law Offices. She received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and an LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. She is licensed to practice law in Virginia and Washington, D.C. She is admitted to the United States Bankruptcy Court. The attorney has been a certified guardian ad litem, GAL in the state of Virginia. Lisa Brown is also admitted to practice in the federal court system, particularly, the United States District Court, Eastern District of Virginia.
Lisa Brown worked as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Eric Washington, formerly, the Chief Judge of the D.C. Court of Appeals. She then worked as an associate in the Employment Department of Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker, LLP, an international law firm, where she focused on employee benefits for national and international corporations. Later, she worked as an associate in the Corporate Department of Dickstein Shapiro LLP.
Since 2010, we have focused primarily on Family Law and Criminal Law. During that time, Brown Law Offices has successfully handled nearly a hundred Divorce and/or Child Custody cases. Also, since Lisa Brown has been a court appointed attorney in Prince William County for many years, we have handled hundreds of criminal cases, both misdemeanors and felony.
We have extensive experience representing clients in negotiations, getting favorable terms for the client and/or taking cases to trial in General District or Circuit Courts.
Furthermore, the practice is not limited to Prince William County, having represented numerous clients in Fairfax County, Stafford County, Fredricksburg County, Loudon County, as well as many further jurisdictions, such as the counties of Henrico, Greene and Orange.
